MY ANSWER
My husband and I said we'd never remarry after one of us died. But I've been so lonely after his death last year that I'd give almost anything to find another husband. Would it be wrong for me to remarry, since I always said I wouldn't?
If it's God's will for you to remarry, then you shouldn't let yourself be held back by what you once thought you'd do.

Last week, a friend of mine lost her husband to cancer. I went to see her the next day, but I really felt awkward and didn't know what to say. How can I help someone like this? I've never lost anyone close to me, which makes me feel even more inadequate.
She didn't need a long lecture or an hour's worth of meaningless chatter; she just needed to know you cared.

I went to the funeral of a friend the other day, and to my surprise it was a very inspiring and joyful service. Later, her daughter told me that her mother had planned the whole service several years ago. Have you ever heard of anyone doing this?
Yes, I've had several friends who have done this (sometimes with the help of their pastor).
MY ANSWER
My uncle never had anything to do with God, but on his deathbed his wife's pastor supposedly led him to Christ. Do you think God actually forgave him and allowed him into heaven, although he'd lived like the devil?
Only God knows whether or not your uncle truly repented of his sins and trusted Christ for His salvation before he died - but if he did, God fully forgave him, and you can be confident that he is now in heaven forever.
MY ANSWER
A man I work with says he isn't concerned about missing out on heaven, because he believes that when he dies he'll get a second chance to believe in Jesus. In the meantime, he says he intends to keep living it up. Will we get a second chance after we die to believe in Jesus and be saved?
Nowhere does the Bible teach that we will have a second chance after we die, or that it doesn't matter what we do with Christ in this life.
MY ANSWER
I went to a friend's funeral the other day, and the pastor said that at the end of time God will put our bodies back together (if I understood him correctly). How is that possible? I've always assumed our souls live on after we die, but I've never heard anyone say anything beyond that.
One of the Bible's greatest truths is that the grave is not the end for those who know Christ, because someday our bodies will be raised up and transformed into the likeness of Christ's body after His resurrection.
MY ANSWER
My friend has never been very religious, but when he almost died in the hospital a few months ago he claims he saw Jesus standing in a tunnel of light. He recovered, but he still doesn't know what to make of it. Do you think he really saw Jesus?
I don't know whether or not Jesus actually appeared to him in those moments - although it's possible, even if it isn't the way God normally deals with us. ...
MY ANSWER
Why are people so thoughtless? I lost my husband a few months ago, and at first everyone was very concerned and sympathetic. But now no one calls or even asks how I'm doing. I don't understand this.
I'm afraid this happens far more often than it should.
MY ANSWER
Why doesn't God stop all the evil in the world? I know we're supposed to believe that God is kind and loving, but I just lost my 6-year-old nephew to leukemia, and it's hard to keep believing in a loving God.
I have pondered questions like this most of my life - and to be honest, I still don't have a full answer to this difficult problem.
