MY ANSWER

I have an old drinking buddy who became a Christian, but I honestly can't see it ever happening to me. I'm too weak to become a real Christian.
Billy Graham writes, "The most important thing I can tell you is that what happened to your friend can also happen to you. And I hope it will, because right now you're on the wrong road in life, and eventually you will pay a terrible price."

MY ANSWER

A Christian friend keeps urging me to ask Jesus into my heart, but if I did, how would I know He was really there? Would I feel different or something?
Billy Graham writes, "Yes, you might feel different if you invited Christ into your life—but the real reason you would know He had come to live within you is because He has promised to do so."

MY ANSWER

I've given up on God because He doesn't seem to care about me. I know you say God cares about us but I haven't seen any evidence of it in my life.
Billy Graham writes, "Have you ever stopped to list the good things in your life? Sometimes we get so caught up with the bad things that are happening to us that we fail to see the other side."

MY ANSWER

We had a series in Sunday School on great men and women of the Bible, and I'm discouraged because I know I'll never be able to serve God the way these people did.
Billy Graham writes, "I'm thankful you've had this opportunity to study some of the great men and women of the Bible for they have much to teach us (even if they did live many centuries ago)."

MY ANSWER

I know you are very persuasive, but frankly I don't have any need of God. I've gotten along just fine without God, and I don't see any reason to change.
Billy Graham writes, "Have you ever asked yourself why you don't want anything to do with God? It isn't, I suspect, just because you're satisfied with your present life. Instead, it is something much deeper—and I challenge you to face it honestly."

MY ANSWER

I'm not sure I still believe in God. How can I avoid hurting my parents' feelings?
Billy Graham writes, "I hope you will be honest with your parents instead of trying to deceive them. After all, they love you and are concerned about you, and if they truly care about your spiritual welfare they need to know how to pray for you."

MY ANSWER

I recently was convinced to believe in atheism as the only logical way to live. God doesn't exist, and the sooner we admit it, the better off we'll be.
Billy Graham writes, "I'm interested that you say you have decided to 'believe in atheism'—because that's what atheism is: a belief or faith. In other words, you can't prove scientifically that God doesn't exist; you can only accept it by faith."

MY ANSWER

Why do some people have a strong faith in God and others have a weak faith?
Billy Graham writes, "God wants every one of us to have a strong faith—one that not only sees us through the rough times in life, but shapes us and makes us more and more like Christ."

MY ANSWER

I'm 10 years old and I want to believe in God, but how can I believe in something I can't see?
Billy Graham writes, "Think about it this way: If we could see God, then He'd be just another object, like the moon or the ocean. But if He were just another object, He'd be too small to be God!"

MY ANSWER

For some reason, down inside I have a desire to know God. What would you suggest I do?
Billy Graham writes, "The first thing you should do is thank God for giving you this desire to know Him."

MY ANSWER

One of my coworkers claims to be a Christian, but he doesn't seem to be a very happy person. Do you suppose he's really a Christian?
Billy Graham writes, "Only God knows the heart of any person who claims to be a Christian."

MY ANSWER

I know Christians don't believe in the idea of reincarnation, but why not?
Billy Graham writes, "Christians reject reincarnation because they believe in the Incarnation."

MY ANSWER

Is there any secret to having a strong faith, or is it just something that some people have and others don't?
Billy Graham writes, "The seed of faith needs to be 'watered' regularly with prayer and the truth of God's Word, the Bible."

MY ANSWER

I can't have faith in God or believe without proof. Can you prove the existence of God?
Billy Graham writes, "Have you ever asked yourself how many times you act on faith every day? The truth is, we live by faith all the time, and without faith it would be impossible to live."

MY ANSWER

I've been diagnosed with cancer and only have about a 30 percent chance of survival. I've never bothered with God but is it too late?
Billy Graham writes, "The good news is that God loves you and wants to welcome you into His eternal home. You may have ignored Him all your life, but He will not ignore you."

MY ANSWER

I stopped going to church because I've almost lost my hearing and eyesight, and it's really difficult for me to get there. Am I wrong to do this?
Billy Graham writes, "God knows all about your disabilities, and He also knows what you can and cannot do at this stage of your life."

MY ANSWER

I don't care if my parents want to be Christians, but they ought to let me choose my own path.
Billy Graham writes, "Have you ever asked yourself exactly why they are so upset over your decision to turn your back on their Christian faith?"

MY ANSWER

My wife and I were very disturbed that God wasn't even mentioned at our friend's recent funeral.
Billy Graham writes, "I suspect this is much more common today than in previous generations, because over time, our society has become much more secular and materialistic."

MY ANSWER

I am a new Christian with a lot of questions, but I'm afraid to ask people at church because I don't want them to think I'm dumb or something.
Billy Graham writes, "You shouldn't hesitate to ask questions of those who can help you understand more of what it means to belong to Jesus."

MY ANSWER

We really felt that God led us to open our home to a needy young woman. But she stole from us and then vanished. Did we misunderstand God?
Billy Graham writes, "What she did was wrong—but she will always remember your kindness, and someday God may use it to turn her to Christ."
