It seems to me that all the signs of the end times are falling into place and Jesus could return at any moment. Do you have an opinion about this?

MY ANSWER
I teach in a junior high school, and I have become alarmed in the last few years at the way young people today don't seem to have any real sense of right and wrong. What has happened to our society? I can't say anything about God in class, but I really fear for the future of this generation.
Yes, this is alarming, and it does not bode well for our future. The Bible tells us about a time in ancient Israel when "everyone did as he saw fit" - and the result was social and moral chaos (Judges 17:6).
MY ANSWER
Do you think Christ will come again and the world will end this year? I get very discouraged when I see the way the world is going - the economic situation, terrorism, crime, warfare, etc. - and I wonder how much longer God is going to let this continue.
Just before He ascended into heaven, Jesus told His disciples, "It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set" (Acts 1:7).
MY ANSWER
Almost every day it seems like we read about another huge financial or political scandal - far worse than anything I can ever remember. What's happening to our society? Are these crises signs that we're in the last days before Christ returns? It gets very discouraging.
Yes, it does get discouraging to read about these scandals - particularly when they tell about people who have betrayed the trust that others have placed in them.
MY ANSWER
I have a friend who claims that Jesus has already come back to earth, and only a few special people (including him) have been given the privilege of knowing about it. Could he be right? He is very convinced that he's right.
No doubt your friend is sincere in what he believes -- but unfortunately he is not correct, because this is not what Jesus Christ taught about His return.
MY ANSWER
A friend of mine is into all kinds of strange ideas, and he says the world is going to end in a few years because that's when a calendar he's heard about from the ancient world stops working. Could he be right?
You should not take his ideas seriously; only God knows when the world will come to an end, and He has not revealed that date to any person - past or present.
