MY ANSWER

A Christian friend of mine doesn't use words like "luck" or "lucky."
Billy Graham writes, "Christians don't believe their lives are ruled by luck or chance; they believe God is in control."

MY ANSWER

Who is stronger in your opinion, God or Satan? I suppose you'll say God, but I wonder about that, because the devil sure has a lot of control over my life.
Billy Graham writes, "Satan is powerful and we need to take him seriously—but God is more powerful, and someday His victory will be complete."

MY ANSWER

Do you think some people are psychic and have the ability to tell the future?
Billy Graham writes, "The ancient world was filled with all kinds of superstitions and occult practices, but God's people were warned not to let themselves be influenced by them."

MY ANSWER

I saw one of those "infomercials" about someone who claimed to talk to people who lived long ago and can give us guidance. Do you think that's possible?
Billy Graham writes, "Sometimes things like this can entangle you in occult spiritual forces that are opposed to God, and will lead you astray (or worse)."

MY ANSWER

I know you don't approve of things like fortune telling and seeking guidance from departed spirits, but how can you be so sure they aren't right?
Billy Graham writes, "The Bible clearly says that occult practices of any kind do not come from God, but from spiritual powers that oppose Him."

MY ANSWER

I've always wondered about the virgin birth of Jesus. People back then surely knew this was impossible, so why did they claim it happened?
Billy Graham writes, "It's significant that the most thorough Gospel account of the virgin birth was written by Luke, who was a medical doctor. If anyone knew the impossibility of a virgin birth it was Luke—and yet, after careful research, he knew it was a fact."

MY ANSWER

Do angels really exist? How do we know? When the Bible talks about "angels," is it referring to people who are exceptionally good and thoughtful?
Billy Graham writes, "Yes, angels definitely exist; they aren't simply good people, and they are greater than we are. The Bible says, "What is man that you are mindful of him? ... You made him a little lower than the angels" (Hebrews 2:6-7)."

MY ANSWER

I've always been curious about where evil comes from, and the devil, and things like that.
Billy Graham writes, "The first truth the Bible tells us about the devil is that he is real, and he is our enemy. Jesus said that the devil 'was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him' (John 8:44)."

MY ANSWER

Do you think we can communicate with those who’ve died? I lost my husband last year, and I long to hear his voice again. Why shouldn’t I try this?
Billy Graham writes, "I understand your heartache (and so does God), but I urge you not to pursue this path. The Bible warns us against having anything to do with someone 'who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead' (Deuteronomy 18:11)."

MY ANSWER

I have a hard time believing that God has always existed. How could God have always existed? Can you understand this?
Billy Graham writes, "No, I can't understand how God could have always existed—but that doesn't mean it isn't true!"

MY ANSWER

Are cults still popular?
Billy Graham writes, "Almost every week, I get letters from people who've gotten involved in a cult or know of someone (such as a family member) who has."

MY ANSWER

Our pastor spoke on spiritual warfare, talking about how the devil and God are at war with each other. Is this true?
Billy Graham writes, "Yes, the Bible does teach that we are in the midst of an unseen spiritual conflict between God and Satan—one in which Satan is constantly trying to gain victory over us."

MY ANSWER

Don't you think we ought to pay more attention to the predictions of astrologers and fortunetellers so we'll have a happier life?
Billy Graham writes, "Most of these so-called 'prophecies' come only from human ideas about the future (or may even be based on trickery or fraud)."
