Several weeks ago, a friend and I started going to what is supposed to be a Bible study, but we're not sure if we'll continue. We never really discuss what the Bible says, but mainly sit around sharing our personal problems and then praying about them. What should we do?

Several months ago, you answered a question from someone with a mild learning disability who has a hard time reading their Bible. I have the same problem, but recently my niece gave me a set of CDs with the Bible in spoken or audio form. It's helped me greatly and maybe it would help this person also.

I've never read the Bible very much, but I made a New Year's resolution to begin reading it every day, which I've done so far. But to be honest I'm already getting bogged down and don't think I can keep it up. Am I doing something wrong?
One reason you might have gotten bogged down is because you started reading some of the hardest parts first.

We were discussing in our class at church who the worst person in the Bible was. Who would you nominate? Maybe it doesn't matter very much, but we've been surprised at how many bad people the Bible mentions.
It's hard for me to select one individual as the absolute worst person in the Bible; the Bible's list of evil people is long!

I've heard that old spiritual for years about Ezekiel and the valley full of dry bones that came back to life, but the other day I finally found the story in the Bible. I gather God gave Ezekiel a vision of this, but I'm confused about what it means. Maybe you can help me.

I would like to know more about the Bible, but it's so big I don't know where to start, and I'm not sure where to turn to get some help. Could you suggest one or two books (in addition to the Bible) that might help me to study the Bible?
Instead, start at the beginning of one of the books and read a portion each day - even just a few paragraphs - until you've read the whole book.
