I've been in and out of rehab more times than I can count since I was 13. Nothing works. Even God has given up on me.

I know I need help, because alcohol is about to ruin me. Has God given up on me?
Billy Graham writes, "Do you think God wants you to be this way the rest of your life? The answer is 'No'—and the reason is because He loves you and wants what is best for you. He doesn't want you to wreck your life!"

How do you know when to stop covering up for someone who's doing wrong, and instead make them face up to the consequences?
Billy Graham writes, "I urge you not to cover up for him any longer. Not only is it morally wrong for you to lie for him, but you're actually hurting your brother by covering up for him."

MY ANSWER

I thought I had gotten off of drugs, and I did for a while (after I got married). But then the marriage went bad and now I'm back in the same rut. I know it's destroying me but I can't do anything about it. I've been through rehab twice but it didn't stick. Please pray for me.

MY ANSWER

My husband says we ought to let our teenaged sons (15 and 17) start drinking alcohol with dinner when we do, because they'll start drinking soon enough anyway and we might as well go ahead and let them. I didn't grow up this way, but do you think this is a good approach?

MY ANSWER

I finally had to face the fact that my husband was an alcoholic and things weren't going to get better because he had no desire to change. He finally moved out because he said he was tired of my nagging, but now I feel guilty because I'm not around to take care of him. Should I ask him back?

MY ANSWER

We have some neighbors in our apartment complex whose way of living really offends us, and it's going to destroy them if they keep on. My wife says that as Christians we ought to show some concern for them, but didn't Jesus say something about not casting pearls before swine?

MY ANSWER

Our son got hooked on alcohol after his marriage ended, but when we tell him he needs to stop drinking and get his life back on track, he just gets angry and shuts us off. It breaks our hearts, but what can we do?
In reality, of course, he isn't really escaping from anything; in fact, in the long run he's only making things worse.

MY ANSWER

I've been in a drug rehab clinic for six months and I'm due to get out in time for the holidays. I guess I'm looking forward to it, but frankly I'm also scared because I'm not sure I'll be able to stay off drugs once I get around my old friends. Please pray for me.
