LOOKING FOR ANSWER

How could I be happy in heaven, knowing that some of my loved ones may not be there with me?
We do not know the full answer, but we do know what the Bible says concerning God's people: "He [God] will wipe every tear from their eyes.

LOOKING FOR ANSWER

If God loves us so much, why would He ever send a person to a place like hell?
It is not God's desire that any person should suffer an eternity in hell. The Bible says, "He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish ..."

MY ANSWER

I know they say God lives in heaven, but where does the devil live?
Billy Graham writes, "God is not limited to time or space (and to a lesser degree, neither is the devil)."

MY ANSWER

My friend believes a loving God wouldn't send anyone to hell. Is he right?
Billy Graham writes, "Nowhere in the Bible do I find any support for ... the belief that everyone will be saved in the end, whether they had any faith or not."

MY ANSWER

I know I'm going to hell when I die because I've blasphemed the Holy Spirit.
Billy Graham writes, "Yes, Jesus said only one sin couldn't be forgiven, and that was 'blasphemy against the Spirit' (Matthew 12:31). But what does it mean to blaspheme the Spirit?"

MY ANSWER

I believe it's wrong to say God will send some people to heaven and some to hell.
Billy Graham writes, "The whole human race has a very serious spiritual 'illness.' It is a disease of our souls that the Bible calls sin."

MY ANSWER

I think we create our own heaven (or hell) right now by the way we live.
Billy Graham writes, "The Bible makes it clear that life doesn't end with the grave. After we die we will continue to live ..."

MY ANSWER

My friend laughs at hell and says he looks forward to it because all his friends will be there. Is he spiritually hopeless?
Billy Graham writes, "No, he isn't necessarily spiritually hopeless—but he is spiritually blind, because he doesn't understand his own need of Christ."

MY ANSWER

My friend says she can't believe in a God who would send people to hell, because a loving God wouldn't do that. What can I say to her?
Billy Graham writes, "The most important thing I can urge you to do is to pray for your friend, that God will open her eyes to His truth and help her understand her own spiritual need."

MY ANSWER

I'm afraid that God will punish me after I die for all the sins I've committed. How can I get over this fear?
Billy Graham writes, "You and I deserve to be punished for our sins ... but Jesus Christ took our place."

MY ANSWER

I have a friend who believes that when you die that's the end. How can I convince him he's wrong?
Billy Graham writes, "Pray that God will help you be a true friend to him, and that your life will be a living witness to Christ's love."

MY ANSWER

What do you think hell will be like?
Billy Graham writes, "Jesus called hell a place of 'outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth' (Matthew 25:30, KJV)."

MY ANSWER

I suppose you believe hell is something that happens to us after we die, but I think it must be right now.
Billy Graham writes, "The Bible tells us that in eternity all the injustices and evils of this world will be judged."

MY ANSWER

The Apostles' Creed says Jesus descended into Hell after His death. Why didn't He go to heaven instead?
Billy Graham, "When Jesus died on the cross, all our sins were placed upon Him. In other words, although He was sinless in Himself, in God's eyes He became a 'sinner'—because our sins were transferred to Him."

MY ANSWER

How bad does someone have to be before there isn't any hope for them?
Billy Graham writes, "One of the Bible's greatest truths is that God is willing to forgive absolutely anyone who truly repents of their sins and commits their life to Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior."

MY ANSWER

It's wrong to say that God is going to judge us when we die. God is kind and merciful and loving. To me, this is the true message of Jesus.
Billy Graham writes, "Let me ask you a question: Do you honestly believe that all those tyrants who killed millions will never be held responsible for their crimes?"

MY ANSWER

I think people who believe in hell are just angry and want to see other people suffer.
Billy Graham writes, "If we truly believe in hell, our hearts will be broken and filled with love for those who deliberately choose to go there."
