LOOKING FOR ANSWER

My marriage is in shambles since my spouse cheated on me. How do I deal with this?
We are sorry to learn of this heartbreaking situation. God's Word makes it very clear that marriage is a commitment for life to the one individual out of all the world that we have chosen to be our mate.

MY ANSWER

What does the Bible say about unmarried people having sex (i.e. fornication)?
Billy Graham writes, "The Bible clearly teaches that all sexual relations outside marriage are wrong in God's eyes."

MY ANSWER

I know we're supposed to forgive people who've hurt us, but I'd rather get even.
Billy Graham writes, "If you do this, you'll be driven by anger and a desire to hurt others—and this should be a danger signal to your soul."

MY ANSWER

I'm tempted to cheat on my wife again. How can I keep from giving in?
Billy Graham writes, "The best way to avoid giving in to temptation is to flee from it the moment it appears."

MY ANSWER

I'm so confused and heartbroken...my wife announced our marriage was over because she'd found someone else. What can I do?
Billy Graham writes, "Perhaps the most important thing I can tell you is this: God knows what you are going through, and He wants to help you."

MY ANSWER

My husband had an affair. How can I ever trust him again?
Billy Graham writes, "Yes, trust is hard to rebuild—but with God's help your marriage can be healed. That's why I urge you and your husband to turn your lives over the Christ ..."

MY ANSWER

I knew being divorced and becoming a single mom would be hard, but what I didn't expect was the desire to strike back.
Billy Graham writes, "Pray for your former husband that he will repent and come to Christ. And pray daily for God's strength and wisdom as you raise your children."

MY ANSWER

My husband had been having an affair with someone he met at work. He claims it's over, but I don't think I can forgive him. Is our marriage finished?
Billy Graham writes, "Yes, your trust has been shattered. But if you both are willing to start again (as your husband seems to be), you can come through this with an even stronger love."

MY ANSWER

MY ANSWER

How can you trust someone who's lied to you repeatedly, and then keeps on doing it?
Billy Graham writes, "Perhaps the place to begin is with your words. Words of love and encouragement can do much to bring healing."

MY ANSWER

I'm deeply in love with a woman, and we're planning to get married. The only problem is we're both already married.
Billy Graham writes, "God did not bring you together (no matter what you feel), nor is it His will for you to break your marriage vows and turn your backs on your families."

MY ANSWER

My wife and I are legally separated, and it's about broken my heart. Is there any hope for us?
Billy Graham writes, "Keep praying, and do whatever you can to let your wife know of your love. If you also were at fault in some way, confess it to God and seek His forgiveness—as well as your wife's."

MY ANSWER

My cousin is considering leaving his wife. Do you think the devil can put thoughts into a person's mind?
Billy Graham writes, "There is much we don't know about the devil's methods, but we do know we need to be alert and constantly on guard against him, and not let ourselves be led astray by his lies."

MY ANSWER

I left my husband a few months ago, and now I've gotten involved with another man. I don't know how I got into this mess.

MY ANSWER

My husband has been unfaithful. How can I ever trust him?

MY ANSWER

A couple of years ago, I had an affair. Have I committed the unpardonable sin?

MY ANSWER

Our son says he can't see anything wrong with living with his girlfriend. What would you say to him?

MY ANSWER

I still love my ex-girlfriend, and now she and her husband have moved only a couple of miles away. Would it be wrong for me to get in touch with her privately?
Billy Graham writes, "If it is God's will for you to marry someday, then you can be confident that He has someone else already chosen for you. But don't try to restart this relationship."

MY ANSWER

My boyfriend is in prison, and now he's written me that he's become a Christian. He says we can't live together again when he gets out.
Billy Graham writes, "Instead of being upset at your boyfriend, I hope you will rejoice that his life now seems to be on a new track."

MY ANSWER

My sister just moved in with her boyfriend. Our parents won't have anything to do with her. But is it right for them to treat her this way?
Billy Graham writes, "I hope your parents will look beyond their immediate hurt and try to keep the door open. ... The time may well come when your sister will find herself rejected—and if so, she will need the love of her family."
