Billy Graham TV Special: Sowing the Seeds of the Gospel Around the World
Program shares stories of how the Gospel builds strength in times of need internationally in Japan, Haiti, and Liberia and domestically in Los Angeles

CHARLOTTE, N.C., May 2, 2011 –The next television special from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), which begins airing on May 2 online and on national Christian networks, addresses the urgency of supporting and ministering to people and places that have been broken and need the healing strength of God’s Word.
The program shows the scenes of people and places in which the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association is working to Sow the Seeds of the Gospel: devastation following the March earthquake in Japan, rebuilding in traumatized post-Civil War Liberia, destruction and loss in Haiti, and gang-trodden Los Angeles. Teams travel to each of these locations to spread the Good News of God’s Word.
“That’s what we’ve been doing in our organization… scattering the seed,” says Franklin Graham, president and CEO of BGEA, in the program. “And these seeds are seeds of the Gospel; and they fall upon good ground and bring forth good fruit.”
Rev. Yoshikazu Takada, Pastor of the Osaka Church in Japan said, “I believe the Gospel has the power for these people to heal and save and comfort them.”
Also included in the program are previews of the upcoming U.S. Festivals in Milwaukee and Denver and an overview of how BGEA is working with Samaritan’s Purse to incorporate the Greatest Journey discipleship program with Operation Christmas Child.
