Christmas Season Celebrated At The Cove
With Many Sold Out Events, Tickets Remain for Just Two of the Inspirational Concerts
The Christmas season is truly celebrated this year at the Billy Graham Training Center at the Cove with nine holiday events and programs during the month of December. The special programs include the highly popular, three-night “Christmas at The Cove with Cliff Barrows and Friends” and several evening events featuring Christmas music and dinner. “We delight in celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior,” said Scott Holmquist, executive director at The Cove. “That is why we added several additional Christmas events to introduce people to Him for the first time or help people grow in their existing relationship with Him.” Now in its fifth year, “Christmas at The Cove with Cliff Barrows and Friends” will again feature dinner, music and laughter with special guests Cliff Barrows and George Beverly Shea. “SeniorSalt Carol Sing at The Cove” is a new holiday event in 2009, and was designed for seniors ages 55 and up. “SeniorSalt Carol Sing” includes Christmas carols and a buffet luncheon for guests. Three additional evenings will feature Christmas at The Cove with musical artists Travis Cottrell; Phillips, Craig, and Dean; and the Tommy Coomes Band during the holiday season for The Cove’s “An Evening at The Cove” events. Attendees to these events will enjoy a gourmet dinner followed by musical performance. Besides the Christmas music and special guest appearances, The Cove will be dressed for the season with decorations including vibrant poinsettias, ornamented Christmas trees and a one-of- a-kind Nativity in its lobby. All Cove holiday events are sold-out for the 2009 season with the exception of “An Evening at The Cove with the Tommy Coomes Band” on December 6 and “An Evening at The Cove with Travis Cottrell” on December 18. There are a limited number of seats available for these performances. For reservations, please call 800-950-2092. The Tommy Coomes Band, based out of California, has traveled the globe with Franklin Graham as the worship leaders at his Festival events. Travis Cottrell is a worship leader from Nashville, TN. The Cove will launch its new year of events and programs in 2010, beginning with its weekly women’s Bible study on January 12. The 2009 study had more than 600 women from the local community register for the free weekly Bible lesson and worship. For more information on the 2010 programs or the calendar of events, please call 800-950-2092 or visit www.billygraham.org/thecove. ### MEDIA CONTACT: Lauren Horton (704) 401-2119 lhorton@bgea.org
