Where Does Your Hope Lie?

December 26, 2013

Blessed is the man who trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.
–Jeremiah 17:7

The Scriptures predict that a new day is coming. There will be a golden age of prosperity when all perplexing problems—religious, social, or political—will find their complete solution. It will be a marvelous time for this mixed-up world. However, the Bible teaches that man will not bring about this coming golden age. Man alone cannot. The flaw in human nature is too great. Man has no ability to repair this damaged planet. God is our only hope! His plans are already formed, and they are perfectly stated in the Scriptures.

Prayer for the day

All my hope and plans are laid at Your feet,
Lord Jesus.

As a fairly new Christian, I struggle daily with leaving all problems at the foot of the cross and in God's hands. I kneel and pray to the Lord and turn them over to him only to find myself trying once again to handle them on my own.

I tried my own plan for a while and failure after failure was the result. I now ask for God's help on life's journey and could not be happier with the results.......... as long as I remain focused on His Holy Word.

I am so glad that God will be the one to right all the wrongs in this horrible world. I am so tired of seeing violence, sadness, abuse of mother earth and her animals. I give myself to you, God!

You don't have too look far to see that mankind has messed up just about everything. However a new beginning is quickly approaching. The Trump will sound. Come Lord Jesus at your Holy Father's appointed time.

Tim says 12.26.2011, 06:35 a.m.

It is comforting to let God lead and direct our steps. In such an uncertain world being in charge of one’s own direction is a very precarious action. With God leading, you are sure to be on the right path, regardless of the circumstances.

Annie says 12.25.2011, 2:28 p.m.

I commit my ways unto You LORD....., I lay down, all my hope, my dreams, my thoughts, and my plans at the CROSS....., Holy Spirit, Take out everything worldly, in me, and crucify it....., in Jesus name I pray, Amen.....!

thanks be to God that he did not leave it up to us to straighten life's problems!

vonnie says 12.26.2010, 7:24 p.m.

We as Christians can have much of that if we are open God's plan for our lives and are willing to be obiedent to the leading of the Holy spirit.

Gerry says 12.26.2010, 07:00 a.m.

Any man (or woman) that relies only on their own abilities to succeed in life is destined for failure. The only way to succeed and solve any problem is found between Genesis and The Revelation, in God's Holy word. The outcome is already written.
