The Prince of Peace

December 17, 2013

Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.
–Proverbs 10:12

To hate, to discriminate against those who look different, who talk different, who have different national backgrounds, or who act differently from the dominant group, is a universal trait of human nature. I say that there is only one possible solution and that is a vital experience with Christ on the part of all races. In Christ the middle wall of partition is broken down, the Bible says. There is no Jew or Gentile, or black or white or yellow or red. We could be one great brotherhood in Christ. However, until we come to recognize Him as the Prince of Peace, and receive His love in our hearts, the racial tensions will increase.

Prayer for the day

I pray for Your love, Lord Jesus, to conquer hate or prejudice—whenever these ugly transgressions seep into my heart.

It's time to stop the hate and love everyone. What would make God more happy your love or your hate?

Gerry says 12.17.2012, 06:25 a.m.

I am certain we will see brothers and sisters in the Lord , from many different racial backgrounds, all sharing Heaven one day. God does not care about skin tone, he only sees the heart.

So true in so many ways. There have been many wars and atrocities committed in the name of religion (ie. the Inquisition, Northern Ireland, Bosnia) The greatest commandment is to love one another. That is the true meaning of Christmas.

Gerry says 12.17.2011, 06:32 a.m.

Sinful behavior is unacceptable no matter what color or race you are. God made each of us unique and special, we are all his children, if we accept his Holy Son as Lord and Savior.

To God be the glory!!!The Lord commands us to love everyone according to His Word. He said "Owe no man any thing but to love one another: for he that loveth another had fulfilled the law.... Love worketh no ill to his neighbor: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law." Romans 13:8,11(cf Mark 12:29-31) And the Word of God tells us in various passages in First Epistle of John that if we say we love God and hate our brother we are lying. I would say, God have mercy on me and all of us. I need to die to self daily and show love as God commands me. The Good Samaritian is an excellent example of selfless living. Thank God for the Blood of Jesus, His grace(unmerited) is sufficient and today is a new opportunity to expression the love of Jesus to everyone regardless of what they do to me. They are created in the image of God and I am commited to love and obey God as His child saved with the Blood of Jesus. Amen

Karen says 12.17.2010, 10:34 a.m.

I am overwhelmed by the love of our Lord Jesus. May we, who are His, extend that love to others. May we be blessed by His wisdom and grace to see beyond ourselves and the differences we have with others to do His will in all things. Amen.

frederick says 12.17.2010, 08:31 a.m.

My father and God, who created the heavens and earth, the Bible says you're Holy therefore we must be Holy. The Bible also says you're Love, Lord help us to love one another also. Let your love prevail in the hearts of everyone across the globe in Jesus name, Amen

Gerry says 12.17.2010, 08:15 a.m.

A Godly man or woman is not determined by by race or skin colour but whether they have Christ in their heart. We are all one in the family of God and Christ died at Calvary for each one of us ..........equally.

Mark says 12.17.2010, 03:12 a.m.

It is right and high time to show love for one another; irrespective of our cultural and racial differences. This is to demonstrate the kind of love the father has shown to us through His son Jesus Christ whom we shall celebrate His birth in a short while.
