Word Made Flesh

The Word was made flesh . . . full of grace and truth.
–John 1:14

On the cover of your Bible and my Bible appear the words “Holy Bible.” Do you know why the Bible is called holy? Why should it be called holy when so much lust and hate and greed and war are found in it? It is because the Bible tells the truth. It tells the truth about God, about man, and about the devil. The Bible teaches that we exchange the truth of God for the devil’s lie about sex, for example; and drugs, and alcohol, and religious hypocrisy. Jesus Christ is the ultimate truth. Furthermore, He told the truth. Jesus said that He was the truth, and the truth would make us free.

Prayer for the day

Almighty God, I thank You for the truth which You have given me through Your beloved Son, Jesus Christ.

It is great to read the difference between the Old and New Testaments. One gives us history and what went with it, and the other gives us hope and life after death through Jesus Christ.

All the wisdom found in all other books combined, could not remotely compare with the Wisdom and Life-saving Truth found in God's Holy Bible.

Amen! 'All scripture is given by inspiration of God..' (2 Tim 2:16). Inspiration is 'theopneustros' which is 'divinely-breathed' or 'God-breathed'. If it's all God-breathed, then there is only 1 Author...the Word, Jesus Christ (John 1:1-3, 1 John 5:6-7, John 1:14) thus making it scripture Holy.

The entire Bible, from beginning to end, is God inspired ........so there can be no error. It is a truthful roadmap guiding us through any and all situations one may encounter while on life's journey. Thank you precious Lord for your Holy Word.
