Billy Graham's Daily Devotion

All He Requires

December 2, 2013

Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?
–John 11:40

If you are a young man or young woman hooked on dissent or despair, ready to split, then lend me your attention. My answer concerns your dreams, and the element in your make-up called “faith.” All that God requires of anyone in taking his first step toward Him and toward total self-fulfillment is faith—faith in His Word, that teaches that God loves you and that you were alienated from Him by sin, that Jesus Christ died on the cross for you, that when you make a personal surrender to Him as Lord and Savior, He can transform you from the inside out.

Prayer for the day

Your Word, heavenly Father, brings me hope and redemption through Jesus Christ—thrusts through the despondencies of life and says You love me!

How beautiful, it is for God's sons and daughters who helps each other in their needs, and for praying each other. I also pray, today that everyone in need of emotional healing will also be healed completely, and families will be healed completely, sons and daughters will be healed completely. Holy Spirit, because of Your strength will we wait upon You, You are our defense. Troubles make us weak, But God's love is there to make us strong! Thank You LORD, listening to our prayers, in Jesus name, Amen. Thank you, and God bless you internet@BGEA. Annie, Vienna, Austria.

To Anne, Laurie, Gray and Annie please keep the faith. I too was in a very distressed situation in the past, felt completely hopeless at times. But through prayer and faith I was delivered from that situation. Our Almighty God heard and answered my prayers and the prayers of others that prayed for me and my wife. My prayers are with you. Please read Psalms 118: 5 and 145: 18, 19 for faith and comfort.

The answer to life's questions is behind the door to Jesus Home. If don't know him and life is dragging you down. Knock on His door and ask him to help you. It will be the best decision you will ever make.

Hi Folks, I know how some of you feel my parents were together for almost 42 yrs. and my father left my mother after having over 6-7 different affairs. He left her with nothing but a 14 yr. old car. Have faith and trust in God because there's a reason why all of this is happening. I will be praying for all of you and that your loved ones find the Lord and become saved born again Christians.

I am married for 2 yrs and all through these years, my husband has been torturing me by beating me, using harsh words. He also cheated me by loving some girl after our marriage. I could see some devil working in Him. Please pray about his deliverance and salvation and also about our family for his love, protection, trust and peace.

God is supreme. I have a cycle I go through. Each time I get a job or I want to move to the next level, something stupid just happens or someone at the job will just not want to see my face and start to talk about me. Before you know it, I am fired. Is that I am not cut out to work for anyone or should I start my onw business!!

Anne says 12.2.2010, 5:21 p.m.

In my 73rd yr I have found myself so lonely and sad all the time from losing my friends and my beautiful brother. When I am overwelmed by this terrible lonliness I say a prayer asking for someone to take care of me and show some love to me. Immediately God sends me joy and comfort and I get through another day. I know how important children are but don't forget those of us whose families are gone and only memories left.

Bob says 12.2.2010, 12:19 a.m.

My Lord, I pray for Laurie and her husband, as they pass through this time, that they may sense You holding them so close they will feel Your heart beating against their hearts. Comfort them with Your perfect peace and encourage them in knowing that Your eyes are already looking at the outcome of this dilemma. Father, please, bring to pass the growth of their faith and trust in You through this ordeal. Thank You for loving them in this manner. In Jesus Name. Amen.
