Billy Graham's Daily Devotion

Satan at Work

November 29, 2013

In whom we have redemption . . . the forgiveness of sins.
–Ephesians 1:7

Satan is at work in our world. The Bible is my authority. He exists and he has control over thousands of young people, whose hearts have never been captured by Jesus Christ. He has hundreds of agents writing pornographic literature and producing sex movies to pollute young minds. He has intellectuals in high positions teaching a hedonistic and permissive philosophy.

Daily I come in contact with mixed-up people who are caught in the anguish of their own unpreparedness, intellectuals who have been seduced by false science, and rich men who are held in the grip of insecurity. They have no commitment to any goal. They lack an anchor for their real selves. And I long to take every one of them by the hand and lead them into the presence of the One who said, “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Prayer for the day

So many are without You, Lord! Use me to lead others from a destructive course to the one which will give them the satisfaction that only You can give.

Today, at 62 years old, I can finally say that I AM a Christian. Thank you ever so much. It took reading of 'Just As I Am' and God's loving intervention to help me surrender and quit questioning. Thank you Jesus.

Satan is a master deceiver and has an endless bag of tricks. We must rely on Christ alone to guide us daily and keep our spiritual antenna focused on our Lord.

I realize today we have to use what we have in our hands to witness the good news. We do need to show our love, kindness, patience to our community, family, friends and etc., and tell them He loves us all and His grace is sufficient to cleanse us all. Just encourage them to say -Yes to Jesus. God bless you all.

Satan is a seducing satisfier to those who do not know the Savior. Pray for all that we may truly meet our Maker!

I'm convinced that when believers link together in prayer, always with the Lord at our center, we can achieve much. My husband and I prayed for you, Lisa and Elizabeth, at breakfast this morning.

Satan, the master decieiver, has an endless bag of tricks to enslave people of all walks of life. Fortunately, Jesus Christ knows every one of them and is happy to reveal the truth to all who will ask and seek his help. The cost for this info has been pre-paid at Calvary.

I am Elizabeth, Reverend Billy Graham. I learned of you 26 yr. ago. I was in bad shape. Your words have shown me the way to think. Will you please pray for my son who is in prison and has 15 years to do. What I don't understand is, he did not hurt anyone. They say he told some one to shoot a man but the man who did the shooting is free.

Lisa says 11.29.2010, 04:15 a.m.

This devotional has truly spoken to me about my 25 yr-old daughter. (She's was married @ 17, now divorced, engaged to be married again next yr)...she's claimed that she is Agnostic. Just now when I read..."...intellectuals who have been seduced by false science..." I've come to the realization that this is the case with her. Please keep her in your prayers. God bless, Lisa
