Battle of the Spirit

October 29, 2013

Let the peace of God rule in your hearts . . .
–Colossians 3:15

When we examine the problems that confront us in our world today, we find that every one of them resolves into a problem of “inner space,” a problem of the dark side of the human spirit. From thousands of letters we receive, it is evident that a large proportion of the population is facing deep personal problems. They vary from person to person, but they do exist, and they are all problems of “inner space.”

Yes, we are the people who have been conquering outer space, but are in danger of losing the battle of the spirit. But there is a solution—for millions it has already been reached—and that solution is in Jesus Christ. He said, “My peace”—my liberty, my freedom—“I give unto you” (John 14:27).

Today if we will turn the searchlight of truth on the dark side of our human spirits and let Jesus Christ become the Master Control of our lives, a new day will dawn for us. Submit the “inner space” of your life to Him.

Prayer for the day

How often I hurt deep down inside me, Lord, but the knowledge of Your love and compassion brings me hope and peace.

May all those who have sown into this ministry be blessed 100 fold by the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. This is the time to prepare for the return of Christ and we have enough at hand to launch the greatest crusade of salvation in Jesus Christ. We have all we need and we can let our loved ones go in peace to love and worship the Lord as we pray for them and obey God in doing what He says we need to do. Praise Him for all things. Amen.

Holy Father I have felt that awesome peace within me many a time, and it's only you who can give such a heartfelt peace, a peace this world cannot give, a peace that so sadly so many people past on because they have chosen not to know you. Thank You Heavenly Father for giving us Your only Son "Jesus", and for your forgiveness, love, mercy, grace, holiness, and peace..Amen

Thank you sharing Christ each day. I spent this morning reading Decision and God spoke to me so clearly on a situation I am dealing with in my family. I am so thankful for a God who listens and loves!

The apostle Paul came to know contentment in every situation of his life because of his relationship with Jesus and that contentment is there for each of us as we reside with our God and King, Jesus. Thank you Lord for peace, liberty and freedom! Make a decision today to know Jesus :) Thank you Billy Graham for your boldness in sharing the gospel.

Sadly as Billy mentioned above if a poll were taken today the world would likely say they were more interested in what's happening in outer space than spiritual inner space. A day is coming when all eyes will be on the Lord but for many it will be too late. I pray that their hearts would change while there is still time. Where there is life there is hope.
