You Can Preach!

September 26, 2013

And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world . . .
–Matthew 24:14 (TLB)

We are stewards of the Gospel. The power to proclaim the greatest news in heaven or on earth was not given to the angels. It was given to redeemed men. This was addressed to humble laymen. Some think that only ministers are to preach, but that is wrong. Every Christian is to be a witness; every follower of Christ is to preach the Gospel.

We can preach by sharing our experience with others. We can preach by exalting Christ in our daily lives. Sermons which are seen are often more effective than those which are heard. The truth is: the best sermons are both heard and seen. They are a sort of audiovisual testimony. We can also preach by giving to others, so they may preach. Missionary gifts, church offerings, and charitable contributions all speak eloquently of your unselfishness and Christian generosity.

In all these things, we are partners with God. We are helping by His grace to redeem the world. God needs our time, our talents, our witnessing, and our money, today more than at any other time in history. Become a full, working partner with God.

Prayer for the day

Wherever I go today, make me conscious of the people I meet. They need Your love. So whether I can speak of You to them, say a kind word or minister in any way, I would be like You, Lord—ever loving, ever giving.

I have a problem with those closest to me as to them I sound arrogant. They don't like it when I quote scripture as they do not see it as the inerrant word of God. The more I talk the more I push them away

Teaching to others is the best way for some people who don't want to go to church. God will help me help those that need encouragement and know they are loved by God.

We are each called to preach the Word in due season. Today is the day of salvation. Lord let me live and tell others every day by word and deed. Let me be a lighthouse for Jesus.

Paulina, the next time u feel hurt by people's negative views, calm down by reminding yourself out loud: I'm the beloved child of our most high God; He sees me righteous and perfect in Christ! And that's all that matters. Then ask of Jesus: I will speak angry words, but if YOU speak, You'll only speak of Life. Yahweh, please take over and speak through me! You're a gorgeous beloved of Christ, no doubt at all babe! Hallelujah!

Nona says 9.26.2011, 3:45 p.m.

Our job as believers is to share the gospel with everyone we meet. We should be about our Father's business at all times. Not just once a week but with everyone we come into contact with. We know because the Bible says, the field are white into harvest!

Paulina says 9.26.2011, 11:50 a.m.

I love God with all my heart,my problem is,for the abuse I went through as a child, I have outburst and get angry easy. I don't like that bout me. I also dwell on what someone says bout me that's negative. I don't doubt that God loves me I just doubt my self. Please say a prayer for me. Heal me Father.

Nancy says 9.26.2011, 10:42 a.m.

At one time I used to feel that witnessing to people was a huge "task", but soon came to the realization that sharing the gospel is a privilege. I'm thankful that God finds me worthy enough to help spread the good news of salvation through His son Jesus Christ!

Elsa says 9.26.2011, 09:51 a.m.

Our talents, our money are from our Lord!We are His children by Faith. We should speak of His love. A bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not snuff out, till leads justice to victory. In His name the nations will put their hope. Matthew 12:20,21 (niv).

It is always a privilege to witness, when an opportunity is available. You may think you can't but pray and ask God's Holy Spirit to help you with comforting words. You may be the one to plant the life-saving seed ....... then God will water it and help it grow.

Dana says 9.26.2011, 01:34 a.m.
