Is it Well With Your Soul?

September 15, 2013

And how does a man benefit if he gains the whole world and loses his soul in the process? For is anything worth more than his soul?

In the world in which we live, we give most attention to satisfying the appetites of the body and practically none to the soul. Consequently, we are one-sided. We become fat physically and materially, while spiritually we are lean, weak and anemic. The soul actually demands as much attention as the body. It demands fellowship and communion with God. It demands worship, quietness, and meditation. Unless the soul is fed and exercised daily, it becomes weak and shriveled. It remains discontented, confused, restless. Many people turn to alcohol to try to drown the cryings and longings of the soul. Some turn to a new sex experience. Others attempt to quiet the longings of their souls in other ways. But nothing but God ever completely satisfies, because the soul was made for God, and without God it is restless and in secret torment.

Prayer for the day

Dear Lord, I thank You that when my soul cried out for forgiveness and love, You were there. Today help me to live as Your child should.

The yearnings of the soul are satisfied only by Scripture and conversation with the Lord and Allmighty Father Gad. I learned this over the last year. Praise the Lord! I love the Lord Jesus and God a lot for all he gives me.

Prayer is my way of being in touch with God. I have been praying for my son to be able to be a substitute teacher, and God has answered that prayer. God is there when we reach out to Him. Thank you Lords.

Without God in our life where would we be? It's hard at times for us to follow God's word but remember without God we would have nothing. Follow in the path of rightousness and you will go far in life.

The world promises many ways to make you happy. Some of them may work in the short term. However they are all temporary and some may end up making you very unhappy or even destroying your life. If you want to experience lasting unbridled joy in your soul invite God into your heart, it will be positively life-altering.

Wow, thank you. They spoke to my heart. At my husband and my age today,65, we have served the Lord in ministry for 40 yrs. due to health reasons had to stop traveling and pulpit ministry, but now I am so restless about maybe not doing what God meant for us to do, but 65 yrs. old seems to be not acceptable these days. Pray for us, Brenda and Jimmy

God has already made the provision for our every need. We should act to manifest our inheritance. Spiritual repositioning is the foundation for our blessing. Reposition yourself through sanctification, meditation, and through sowing. Whatever the enemy has stolen from you, will be supernaturally returned to you.

The problem is we can't be consistent with our God-worshiped-soul, because we still live on earth, we are not in Heaven yet. Thus, we tend to choose our pleasure not God's pleasure. How can we keep it in the right way, by connected with Him every time.
