Where is Jesus Christ?

September 13, 2013

Everything else is worthless when compared with the priceless gain of knowing Christ Jesus . . .
–Philippians 3:8 (TLB)

“Where is Jesus Christ?” Innumerable students are studying Him and deciding whether or not Christ and the Gospel really matter—whether He is relevant in this modern age. C.S. Lewis, a professor of Medieval and Renaissance Literature at Oxford and later at Cambridge, had to do the same thing. He spent his life exploring the great literature of centuries. In his remarkable autobiography, Surprised by Joy, he tells of his pilgrimage from atheism to Christianity. His turning point came with the realization that the writing with the deepest meaning and greatest content was based on a deep, personal faith in God, by men like Augustine, Blaise Pascal, George Macdonald.

Prayer for the day

There is nothing more I desire, Lord Jesus, than to walk closely with You—my Savior and Lord.

Jesus abideth in my heart. "Behold, I stand at the door and. knock, If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me. "(Revelation 3:20)

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. - Proverbs 3:5

Christ is the one and only true tenderizer of a hardened heart!! I can never get over, (nor do I want to)the ultimate sacrifice he made for me and you! I love you Jesus! You are all, above everything and everyone!!!

Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He also said he would never leave us or forsake us. He loved us so much to give his life for us so, that we might be able to have eternal life with him. No man can get to the father except by Jesus.

I didn't learn too much about CS Lewis until I read about the Chronicles of Narnia. He is a man of wisdom, he is the type of person all young people should read and then follow his thoughts. God did become a friend of his and we should all follow.

We make decisions every day in life . Some are routine and some important . However there is no decision we will ever make that is more important than accepting or rejecting Jesus Christ.

Carolyn G. says 9.13.2012, 06:16 a.m.

Walking daily with Jesus is the only way to live. Jesus said, " I am the Way, the Truth and the Light". He is the only one who can bring peace and real meaning to our life.

If someone is honest,I cannot understand why he shouldn't choose for Christ. He can be under-stood from creation;our conscience tells us what right is or wrong and we have a Bible which is the most beautiful Book ever written with great insights.

Lord Jesus! My Saviour! He is risen!

Our Lord Jesus is forever relevant and fresh. In Him we find the answers for our personal, interpersonal and socio-economic life. To make Him irrelevant is to miss the path to life. God bless you all.

I'd rather have Jesus than ANYTHING!

I love the conversion story of C.S. Lewis. How the Lord brought him from Atheist to Theism to Christianity. Even he seemed baffled by it. He says of his conversion to Christianity...."I know very well when, but hardly how, the final step was taken.I was driven to Whipsnade one sunny morning. When we set out I did not believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and when we reached the zoo I did." God can do amazing things.

Thank you Lord for the joy you are giving us, and that we can walk with you all the way to heaven! Everything else is worthless when compared with the priceless gain of knowing you, my Lord and Saviour!

Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked. -- Psalms 84:10 (NIV)

Bob says 9.13.2011, 07:24 a.m.

Beautifully said!

Gerry says 9.13.2011, 07:06 a.m.

A personal relationship with Jesus Christ should be the pinnacle goal in life of any person. All other things pale by comparison. It is free for the asking but far more valuable than anything you could ever buy. "Earthly things" will fade away and are temporary at best, but your relationship with the Tribunal Godhead, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, is Eternal.

Mercy says 9.13.2011, 06:50 a.m.

One step with GOD in Christ is worth more than a million steps with Man!
