Only Jesus

September 11, 2013

God . . . is the one who invited you into this wonderful friendship with his Son, even Christ our Lord.
–1 Corinthians 1:9 (TLB)

The question remains, “How can God be just—that is, true to Himself in nature and true to Himself in holiness—and yet justify the sinner?” Because each man had to bear his own sins, all mankind was excluded from helping, since each was contaminated with the same disease. The only solution was for an innocent party to volunteer to die physically and spiritually as a substitution before God. This innocent party would have to take man’s judgment, penalty, and death. But where was such an individual? Certainly, there was none on earth. There was only one possibility. God’s own Son was the only personality in the universe who had the capacity to bear in His own body the sins of the world. Only God’s Son was infinite and thus able to die for all.

Prayer for the day

Lord Jesus, Lamb of God, in adoration I thank You for the love that made You willing to suffer and die on the cross for my sin.

Jesus is the solution for our sin problem. He hadto meet the requirements of the OT and to bewithout sin to solve the problem of sin.In thisway He could be a sacrifice that met the standards of a Holy God.How perfect is God'splan!

Ever think of what would have happen if Jesus had said no to willingly forfeiting his life at Calvary? Now that's a frightening thought.

Faith, hope and love, the greatest of these is love. For God so loved the world, He gave his only Son to pay the price of sin for each of us. Only God can have this kind of LOVE.

As I read this I am humbled as always, that Jesus loved Gods creation of mankind that He would come down to walk, heal teach and continually love the very people He came to show love and the way to salvation, even though He knew that He would crucified, not for any sin of His own, but those of that time, as well as all generations to follow. I am at awe in is perfect LOVE. Unconditional in that although son came in to the world, God knew of only one way to save sinners. You would think that knowing all you have to do is ask forgiveness, truly from your heart and soul, and try best you can to kind, loving, caring of one another as our/ His world to show LOVE and compassion, emphathy and understanding, to stand by your brothers and sisters in Christ name and to HONOR JESUS' scarafice of Himself. I can not understand myself how the world, maybe one of my neighbors, can not see the Truth which so many people seek. Its all written down for us. The Truth is in the Bible. Search there and ask God to open your heart to His word, will and ways. To help you to inderstand, and if you do this earnestly, He will open the eyes of your heart to His words and you will know what that empty spot you feel is. And if you dont feel it yet its coming, as Our Father promises, Jesus is coming back. There are many promises the main one you need to remember as a beginner in learning to Walk in Faith, its easy. Love our Lord God Almighty with all your heart. Ask forgiveness, He knows we sin.

Dr. Graham, God has given and used such words of Truth and Redemption through your life and ministry. Thank you forever in the Name of Jesus Christ!

Gerry says 9.11.2011, 08:41 a.m.

Even though I try my best I believe it is humanly impossible to thank our Heavenly Father and his Holy Son adequately, for such an incredible display of Love. "Calvary " epitomizes the very word. In addition to my attempts I ask the Holy Spirit to intercede by bringing perfect thanks to God in ways that I could never imagine, on my behalf for he is so worthy.

We daydream instead of forever dream!
