Born Again

September 6, 2013

Clothe yourself with this new nature.
–Ephesians 4:24 (TLB)

In Texas they tell a story about a man who used to hitch his horse every morning in front of the saloon. One morning the saloonkeeper came out and found that the horse was hitched in front of the Methodist church. He saw the man walking down the street and called out, “Say, why is your horse hitched in front of the Methodist church this morning?” The man turned around and said, “Well, last night I was converted in the revival meeting, and I’ve changed hitching posts.” That’s what it means to be born again. That’s what it means to be converted. It means that you changed hitching posts.

Prayer for the day

May I live in such a way that people will know that I am bound in the freedom of Your love.

Being born again is more than a practical decision that one lives their life according to - it is a supernatural act in the inside of a person that changes a one's character and decision making criteria.

May god bless, all that have received Jesus as their personal savior. Now all of you have a guide, so let him, guide you in your travels where ever you may go.

Being born again is not just making a mental decision, it is the result of truly surrendering to Jesus and receiving His Spirit, hence, Born again of the Spirit. Don't be deceived. Thank God for the Graham family ministries

When you make s serious, conscious, practical decision to be born again you change the direction you are going in. Proverbs 3: 5-6 helps you with that direction and will give you peace.

My story is close to that as well. I did things that were wrong all the way around. It was a health issue that lead me to God. Now, I am so thankful to come back and be part of His flock.

Everything in your life changes when you love Jesus. You want to serve God in all that you do and tell others how great His love is for us that He died to save ALL.

In worldly circles the term "born again" is often used with sarcasm . However in Godly circles it is a "badge of honor". Nicodemus struggled to understand what Jesus meant by it as well. Once you are..... the meaning is very clear.

Do not let evil overcome you, Overcome evil with good.

Wow! Being born again is about making a serious, conscious, practical decision which at the time might appear odd to some people - especially those who 'think' they 'know' you.

When you truly give heart to Jesus you will surprise even yourself and others by the positive new way you think. The life choices you make will be Godly ones . You will experience a new peace and joy like you have never known. Being "Born Again" is an amazing journey that will go on through eternity.

I love that parable and it is very true. Salvation is about switching hitching posts
