The Truth Sets Us Free

September 5, 2013

Come unto me, all ye that labor . . .
–Matthew 11:28

The mark of a true Christian is found in his personal relationship to the Person of Jesus Christ. Christianity is Christ. Christ is Christianity. I speak reverently when I say that Jesus is more than His ideas. All that He said was true, but without Him even the truth would have been powerless. Men know the power of truth, and truth is that which sets men free. Jesus said, “I am the truth.”

Prayer for the day

Thank You, Jesus, for the shackles that have been broken in my life!

Thank you Lord for all the people that work. Without the people that labor America would stop working. We especilly thank you for our teachers, ministers, farmers, Doctors, clerks, truckers, and everyone else.

Some jobs are better than others for sure. Perhaps God is watching to see how thankful you are for the one you have . Every job is a blessing . Just ask some who can't find one.

God worked six days and rested on the seventh. As we pattern our life after God we to should work hard at everything we do. Thank you Lord for our jobs.

That Jesus had to work also as a carpenter, isof great importance how we view our work insociety.I am reminded of 1 Cor 15:58 that nothing is in vain when done as for the Lord.It is our testimony to the world when we do ourjob well.

Holy Father I surrendred my job search to you for you know where you want me to work and Holy Father when the job does come please make me be always mind full of the fact that it was you who granted me a job and my I never complain and to always work to give you the glory.'In Jesus' name I pray.

Gerry says 9.5.2011, 05:58 a.m.

It is very important when working at whatever type of job you have been blessed with do, to put forth your best effort. There are many today who cannot find a job and are discouraged. I am certain that when Jesus worked as a carpenter he gave 100 always and was no doubt a master carpenter. If you are fortunate enough to have a good steady job today, don't forget to thank God regularily for the opportunity. Further please take a moment a pray for and encourage someone you may know who is in need of a job and unable to find one.
