Grace and Peace

August 28, 2013

Unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
–Ephesians 4:7

The Christian life is never spoken of in the Bible as a bed of roses. It is uphill, because society is coming one way and the Christian is going the opposite way. But Jesus said that in the midst of your problems, in the midst of your difficulties, He will be there to give you grace and peace. Underneath all the troubles, will be the “still waters” that the Great Shepherd can provide. Many people are trying to steady themselves by taking tranquilizers. Jesus is the greatest tranquilizer of all. He can straighten out your life and put you back on center. Let Him take full control. You’ll go on your way rejoicing, as did those in the New Testament who met Jesus.

Prayer for the day

I need Your calmness and strength, for there are many trials to face, Lord Jesus. By faith I reach out to You, and receive the gift of Your peace in my life.

God knows the big picture beyond our circumstances. I can trust he will take care of all the small things I try to hold on to and fret over.

Life can be very difficult at times and because God gives us hope,we can persevere.Certainly we must face tribulation in some form. Our Lord Jesus has said this also in John 16:33.

I had an encounter that was very hard to cope with. After all that said and done, I prayed to God and asked Him that if I was wrong to forgive me in my hard decision. God is there when we need Him in time of need, and He will answer our prayers.

Some people mistakenly think that when they surrender their life to Christ all will be trouble free and blissfully smooth. The reality is you will face many trials and storms but he will be your guide through each and every one.

Jesus came walking on water in the midst of a storm to rescue His disciples and bring them tranquility. He comes walking into our life's storms as well and brings us His grace and tranquilty.

I am glad that Jesus is a father to his children when their earthly one neglects them. May we hold men to responsible for their actions.

The life of a follower of Christ will be trying and difficult at times. However stand firm in God's assurance that he will see you through even the worst difficulties. The reward will be spectacular ..........Eternity with him.

I have always trials and tribulations in my life in one way or the other, sometimes embarrassed about how to live happy and peacefully, now I know Jesus is there to lead me to peace and happiness in this world and give me eternal life in heaven also.

James Wolobah says 8.21.2011, 4:22 p.m.

I am glad to know that Jesus Christ is my tranquilizer, and that though my life is sometimes hit by storms, and I tend to get frustrated and ask why, I have now learned that there is the "still waters" to navigate me to his path of righteousness and joy.
