Be Not Anxious

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
–Colossians 3:16

Christians are to rejoice. To do that, you need only to think of the great things God has done for you. Then we are told not to be anxious, but in our prayers to make our requests known to God. In your biggest problems you have One to whom you can go; and before Him you can pour out your heart with the assurance that He will not leave you without an answer to that great problem. Then we are to fill our minds with those things that are good. They are mentioned in the Scriptures as being things that are true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, of good report, and of virtue. It is upon these things that we are to think. Live positively, not negatively. Once you learn that secret, God will have given you the victory.

Prayer for the day

You know what troubles me today, Lord Jesus. In faith, I give it all over to You and now praise You, knowing Your love will not fail.

Lord thank you for Billy Graham,He was power teacher,I am like the new baby in Christ,learning, I'm 42,and 2 years clean,in that time I did some 12 step,it opened my eyes,I'm not the same man I was before,I"m reborn in Christ,and His with me.Amen

I pray to God every day that He will lift me up and help me when I need it the most. I also pray for my family and friends, as they are important to my life as God is.

When something unexpected and fearful occurs in our life, it is normal to be upset . However we must immediately turn it over to God in prayer. He is willing and able to resolve anything. Perhaps not as quickly as we would like but his timing is best

Every day the daily devotional scripture seems to be written just for me at this time in my life. Then I think, "of course it was!" He has a plan for all of us. Praise God. I am so thankful to know his grace and for BGEA.

Fretting, worrying and becoming anxious may be commonplace but does it really change the situation, at all. Most people know the it does not. When troubles in life appear (and they will) God is the only genuine solution and he is ready and willing, always. However he prefers that we do not wait until we find ourselves with problems to seek him. Why not prayerfully seek him everyday ???

He knows our every problem even before we say them...by falling at His feet and casting all our problems before Him, we can be sure that the Majestic King will always come through for us if only we believe...Lord, help us to learn to give it all to you.
