Ills of the Human Race

August 6, 2013

Set thy house in order . . .
–2 Kings 20:1

Man condemns himself by his refusal of God’s way of salvation. In love and mercy, God is offering to men and women a way of escape, a way of salvation, a hope and anticipation of better things. Man in his blindness, stupidity, stubbornness, egotism, and love of sinful pleasure, refuses God’s simple method of escaping the pangs of eternal banishment. Suppose you were sick and called a doctor who came and gave you a prescription. But after thinking it over you decided to ignore his advice and to refuse the medicine. When he returned a few days later, he might have found your condition much worse. Could you blame the doctor? Could you hold him responsible? He gave you the prescription, he prescribed the remedy. But you refused it!

Just so, God prescribes the remedy for the ills of the human race. That remedy is personal faith in, and commitment to, Jesus Christ. The remedy is to be “born again.” If we deliberately refuse it, then we must suffer the consequence; and we cannot blame God. Is it God’s fault that we refuse the remedy?

Prayer for the day

Lord Jesus, as You sat looking over Jerusalem, You wept. Give me the same compassion for those who have not accepted Your remedy and been born again.

Memories of Billy Graham's Crusade, San Jose, Ca. My church choir, about to sing, met the Blessed Reverend Billy Graham. Before crowds came, precious time, yet he prayed for us, I hold this with me forever.

It too sad knowing how the human beings are allowing the enemy to take their lives away! I'm graceful cause God has given me a vision of love. It's bad to see a brother going in a dark way and not feel compassion.

Thank you for your continued wisdom. May more people accept Christ's love.

I have gone the route of knowing more than my physician, and then in the end paid for it. On that day, I cried and God was there to my rescue. I will not leave him again.

Unfortunately many have and will go to their grave stubbornly refusing to accept that fact that Christ died for all. They adamantly refuse the free gift of salvation. After passing they will then have no doubt at all....... but it will be too late.

It baffles and saddens me when people refuse to accept the free gift of Christ's Love. Instead they struggle on their own to cope with life's problems ,daily. There is a much better way and its not too late. He's waiting ...........

Jesus left us with a mission- preach, witness and proclaim the Gospel of Christ. We, as Christian's, need to ensure that we do not become strangled in the pleasures and wealth of this world, but save God's lost children.

God's tears maintain oceans.
