July 21, 2013

Except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter

In a decadent society the will to believe, to resist, to contend, to fight, to struggle, is gone. In place of this will to resist, there is the desire to conform, to drift, to follow, to yield, and to give up. This is what happened in Rome, but it also applies to us. The same conditions that prevailed in Rome prevail in our society. Before Rome fell, her standards were abandoned, the family disintegrated, divorce prevailed, immorality was rampant, and faith was at a low ebb. As Gibbon said, “There was much talk of religion, but few practiced it.”

Prayer for the day

May I be worthy to bear the name Christian, Lord Jesus.

Moral decadence has become the order of the day and has permeated every strata of the society. We need moral rejuvenation which such a message galvanizes. We need more of such inspirations.

This generation is searching desperately for "something" to fill the many holes they have and churches are watering down the Word and how can they find Jesus when no one is leading them to the right place...?

This is right on target! We are going down before our very eyes, We have simply turned from God, the same thing as in the book of Judges.

Even a child knows not to touch a hot stove ........ twice. As so aptly pointed out by Billy, society is rapidly returning to moral decay and all types of Godless living. This is a similar lifestyle to that of ancient Rome. Most people are numbed to human atrocities because they are commonplace. One day it will all end and everyone will give an account to our God Almighty.

These may or may not be the Last Days; but, they are certainly our last ones if we do not begin to exercise our God-given Knowledge and Principles!
