Prayer Is a Conversation

June 30, 2013

And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
–Matthew 21:22

Prayer is a two-way conversation; it is our talking to God, and His talking to us. As a Christian, you have a heavenly Father who hears and answers prayer. Jesus said, “All things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” Every man or woman whose life has counted for the church and the Kingdom of God has been a person of prayer. You cannot afford to be too busy to pray. A prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian. Jesus Christ spent many hours in prayer. Sometimes He spent the night on a mountaintop in solitary communion with God the Father. If He felt that He had to pray, how much more do we need to pray!

Prayer for the day

There is inexpressible joy as I come to You in prayer, my heavenly Father.

When we pray,God listens .He not only listens, but he responds. The amazing thing is he always responds in ways that are perfect for our lives and his Glory. He does so in his own perfect timing ,not ours. Our Holy Father always knows best.

Prayer Is a Conversation,.....How true.....? It is the most beautiful time everyday in my life. A prayerful Christian is a powerful Christian, not only that, but also a prayerful Christian has the power to defeat the enemies. Without prayer I'm sunk.

I am coming to know the Lord, differently, as a "cradle Catholic", who is now seeking to develop a strong, adult relationship with God and asking him to guide my path. I have begun spending 5 minutes, each morning and night, in quiet prayer. Praying simply and listening to what the Lord puts in my heart are my goals right now, but I am grateful to have been given the gift to begin this practice and look forward to continuing as I grow in my walk with the Lord.

We are all in the One Body of Christ if we believe. Having said that we help build up the Body of Christ if we pray for one another. All who pray for me I am grateful and I will pray for all who wish me to pray for them. I pray for the salvation of all who do not believe as well. Christ desires all souls.

There is something totally amazing about knowing that God Almighty hears and cares about what we have to say to him in Prayer. Further that he answers every one in accordance with his Holy Will for our life. We may not always understand his timing or his reasons for the way he answers but we can be absolutely confident that he always has our best interest at heart.

I came to and accepted our LORD out of the catholic church that believed in a placewhen we die that our relatives and friends can pray us out of .There's no hope in that. The church I go to now believes on making everything right before you leave on your last journey by accepting JESUS as your personal Savior.By the way when I accepted the LORD, it was in a home mission church with saw dust floors/floors that if you dropped any change or your car keys, you'd be there a little extra time searching for them. I thank GOD for those good old days. I'm now going on 84 years young. Thank you Mike. GOD BLESS ALL WHO READ THIS. /by the way i was 13 years old when i came to know our dear wonderful LORD./
