Who Am I?

What a glorious Lord! He who daily bears our burdens also gives us our salvation.

Edward Dahlberg, the writer, observed, “At nineteen, I was a stranger to myself. At forty, I asked, ‘Who am I?’ At fifty, I concluded I would never know.” This unexplored personal wilderness is the home of millions of people. Ninety-two percent of all Canadian university students, according to June Callwood, the Toronto sociologist, don’t really know who they are. The Bible says that man is an immortal soul. When God made man in the first place, He created him and “breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul” (Genesis 2:7). One’s soul is the essence, the core, the eternal and real person. And he will be restless until he opens his life to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord.

Prayer for the day

Almighty God, knowing I am Your child is all the assurance I need.

Thank you for that note: remembering we are children of the Lord. Oh sometimes I forget that when I am going tru decisions and waiting for outcomes of circumstances. " I must remember I am His child and He is my father".

We are all creations of God.Some will accept him and give him the praise and honor he so richly deserves .Others will reject him to their own peril. One day,scripture is clear,every knee will bow before Christ.For many it will be too late. Don't wait

I am a child of the Living God, Who daily bears my burdens, calms my soul. Everybody is in the Holy Word of The Bible, when I first surrendered my life I was the woman at the well, as my spiritual life progressed I thought I was Esther and then God revealed to me who I really supposed to be...

Many people wander through life, aimlessly seeking happiness. Some turn to drugs or ???..........to fill that huge void . The only genuine solution is free. Simply ask Jesus Christ into your life , acknowledge that he is God's Holy Son and that he died for all believers at Calvary as a Holy Atonement for sin. Then watch what happens.

As i was reading this daily devotional, a song came into my head. "Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine, oh what a foretaste of glory divine". Very fitting....x
