Believe in the Holy Spirit

June 13, 2013

. . . I [have] raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee . . .
–Romans 9:17

Walter Knight tells the story about a little boy who had recently received Christ. “Daddy, how can I believe in the Holy Spirit when I have never seen Him?” asked Jim. “I’ll show you how,” said his father, who was an electrician. Later Jim went with his father to the power plant where he was shown the generators. “This is where the power comes from to heat our stove and to give us light. We cannot see the power, but it is in that machine and in the power lines,” said the father. “I believe in electricity,” said Jim. “Of course you do,” said his father, “but you don’t believe in it because you see it. You believe in it because you see what it can do. Likewise, you can believe in the Holy Spirit because you can see what He does in people’s lives when they are surrendered to Christ and possess His power.”

Prayer for the day

Make my heart completely devoid of self so that it can be filled with Your Spirit, Lord.

It's not by might nor by power, but by His Spirit says the Lord. Who can live without Him!

"We are of God. He who knows God hear us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error" (1 John 4:6). As I believing in the Holy Spirit, I can protect from all error. A Million Thanks......!

I have no doubt, without believing in the Holy Spirit, we cannot walk with God,...because HE IS THE BREATH OF LIFE,....Jesus rose from the dead,...it is the power of the Holy Spirit. How much should we need to believe in the Holy Spirit......?

When the Holy Spirit enters into your life the change in how you view things is amazing. He is a 24 /7 companion. His guidance in every area of life is very reassuring .

Even though we do not see our Lard and Savior, we must believe that all things are possible through Him. That is where many people fall short of faith in Him. That was then for me, but the now is so much better. He is all powerful to true believers.

Great article on the Holy Spirit. Many don't realize that He is also God and all powerful. Just wrote an article about Him in regard to faith on my web site www.hespeaksnow.com, although I don't know how many will take time to read it. You have been my inspiration for the last 30 years. God bless you and your ministry.

Our Father in heaven is smiling on Jim's father on earth. The Holy Spirit gave him the words for a child to hear and understand the power of faith, hope and love.

God said the greatest sin is unbelief! How can anyone say God does not exist when the sun shines and the moon glows! Not one human being can breathe unless God lets them. Bless You God for loving a sinner like me, I love You!

After accepting Christ into your life a magnificent new journey begins. Pray for the Holy Spirit to guide you through each day. Important decisions require a quiet time of prayer and reading God's Holy Word. Then wait patiently and he will determine the right direction to follow ........every time.
