Keep Moving Forward

May 29, 2013

For in him we live and move and are!
–Acts 17:28 (TLB)

When I was seven years old, my father bought me my first bicycle. I had never ridden one. Patiently, my family and friends tried to teach me the art of cycling. I soon found out there was one thing I must do if I was to stay on the bicycle—keep moving forward. If I ceased to go forward, I would fall and hurt myself. So it is in the Christian life. We can never live this life on the highest plane unless we are continually growing and moving forward. You should be closer to God today in heart, soul, and body, than at any other time so far in your life.

Prayer for the day

Lord, I have progressed far too slowly in my pilgrim walk with You. Might I be drawn closer to the light of Your love and grace.

Help me God to never give up...no matter what the darts the satan throws in my path. I love You God for loving me and family, even when we don't deserve it!

Set Godly goals for yourself, then move slow and steady towards them. Pray for the Lord to illuminate your mind and help you understand these life-altering, Biblical principals.

Pray without ceasing; Sharing with others how you have grown in Christ...keeps us accountable to keep growing.

How very true when life is smooth sailing I tend to become a bit more Spiritually complacent. However our Holy Father always has a way to get my focus back where it belongs .........on him.

The growth Dr Graham stated is fundamental in christain life. That growth pleases our Lord and master Jesus Christ. I had bitter experience when deviated from God for worldly pleasures which brought emptiness and pain. Thank God I went to Christ to seek his forgiveness and He restored my happiness. Today I am growing.
