. . . to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.
–Ephesians 3:19

To appreciate art, one must either be born with an artistic sense or develop it by training. Only a relatively few people have an innate sense of color, form, and harmony. To such, a love for art comes naturally. Without an artistic appreciation in one’s soul, visiting an art gallery can be a boring affair. Likewise, to appreciate good music one must have music “in him” or develop it. Without a sense of music appreciation, it is possible to sleep through a symphony concert or a performance of the Metropolitan Opera. So it is with the things of God.

Talk about God can become dreary and lackluster if God isn’t in you. Church can become a drab thing and the Bible an irksome Book if the Holy Spirit does not illuminate your soul with His indwelling presence. The wonderful thing about it all is that God has planned life so that if our hearts are dead to spiritual things, something can be done about it.

Prayer for the day

Lord God Almighty, may I daily reach out to You and be filled with the love of Christ.

George, Is not your love for God stronger than your willingness to sin? I am sure that it is! Choose God! This IS about choices-and priorities. Seek the reason for your lust. Ask God to help you resolve the real problems in a way that pleases Him!

Being a former teacher and performer of music, I found that music written about and for Christ, was more rewarding than the secular form. I thank the Lord to find such great inspiration while teaching and performing.

@ George, please think about your wife and children if you have them, disease is so prevalent in prostitutes. You don't want to get an std for life or one that ends your life, do you? You wouldn't want to infect your family. Pure Desire ministry help

There is nothing like the presence of the HOLY SPIRIT; in Him we are comforted, taught, motivated, safe. I love the LORD and thank Him for caring so much to let me know Him. I wish everyone would know and love Him. Amen

I want God to fill me with power to withstand the flesh as I am really struggling with great sexual urge outside of my marriage. I am now going after prostitutes to avoid getting into any serious relationship. I know I need help and I need it now because I am a minister of the word. May God help overcome this urge. Amen.

To try and better understand the things of God, one should pray for the Divine help of the Holy Spirit. The Word of God will then be illuminated as never before. This also clearly demonstrates to God that you are serious about getting to know and serve him on a more intimate level. Try it ...it works.
