An Answer to Problems

May 23, 2013

. . . Thou shalt love the Lord thy God. . . . Thou shalt love thy neighbor . . .
–Matthew 22:37–39

Here is the answer to the world’s problems today—“Thou shalt love the Lord thy God,” “Thou shalt love thy fellowman.” That teaching is not out-of-date; it is absolutely relevant today. It is the only way in which the problems of the world today can be solved, whether the problems are those of individuals or of nations. If we love God with all our heart, we will have a capacity to love our neighbors. True love will find an outlet in service—not merely in singing hymns, attending church, or even in praying—but in trying our utmost to prove our love, by obeying the will of our heavenly Father.

Prayer for the day

True love demands everything I have. Take all the hidden things in my life that keep me from loving You and my neighbor as I should. Let me obey Your will unequivocally, dear Lord.

One can only imagine what a wonderful world it would be if everyone truly loved each other. There would be no wars, murders, rapes, etc. etc. Unfortunately this is not the case. However for those who believe and make it to Heaven..... it will be.

Dear Mr. Graham, We live in a very exciting time. You have Your share in this enormous important period. God knocks on everybodies door and we try to understand Him, also in other religions. It all begins and ends with Jesus. So there is still indescribable important work for You, being the steady teacher You are. In this end-time of confusion where GOOD and BAD gets stronger, I see You even getting closer to God with Your effective pure message. So God bless You and keep You in Jesus Name.

Sandra says 5.23.2011, 12:42 a.m.

Billy Graham is an incredible example of how to let God reveal His perfect plan for our life through complete submission to Him. God's truth revealed to us in His word will always be powerful. We are to know His word so that we will know the truth and be able to discern the ploys of deception perpetrated by counterfeits. My prayer is that each of us takes up the challenge to love God with all our heart, mind, strength and soul.

annallie saludares says 5.23.2011, 11:08 a.m.

I was blessed with the message. It's reminds me that the LORD is long-suffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9. So, we have a lot of time to do good things and accept Jesus Christ as our personal savior and LORD.

Cheryl says 5.23.2011, 11:02 a.m.

I believe Billy Graham is stated to be an evangelist. I have never heard him claim to be a prophet. What is so wonderful is that his words are from the Bible. Yes, he does speak with God, as do all Christians that pray and listen to His still quiet voice. I admire Billy Graham greatly yet, I worship my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Jesus is the One that pointed out the first two commandments are the greatest...Billy is simply reminding us what our Lord has said. God's love is the answer and possible through the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 5:5

Joe says 5.23.2011, 10:35 a.m.

Praise God for his never ending mercy towards us.

mickey says 5.23.2011, 10:14 a.m.

I believe I my heart that Billy Graham is a prophet and has spoken with God. We should listen to his words more carefully. I pray for everyone to love each other as God loves us!!!

PaulM says 5.23.2011, 09:39 a.m.

In the light of the recent natural disasters that have shaken our country and taken so many lives, I read this morning from the same passage that Rev. Graham spoke in the memorial service at the Washington Cathedral on the Friday morning after 9/11...from the 3rd chapter of the book of Lamentations: "Through the Lord's mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness." -Lamentations 3:22-23

Gerry says 5.23.2011, 08:20 a.m.

Of everything Christ taught while on this earth, to "Love" one another was the most important lesson. Ironically, it's the one we struggle most with.

mick says 5.20.2011, 11:39 a.m.

pray we may really understand and use LOVE to its fullest!
