Practice the Fruits of the Spirit

February 26, 2013

But when the Holy Spirit controls our lives he will produce this kind of fruit in us: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness and self-control . . .
–Galatians 5:22,23 (TLB)

Christ can rid you of inner conflict. Man without God is always torn between two urges. His nature prompts him to do wrong, and his conscience urges him to do right. Antagonistic desires and crossed-up emotions keep him in a state of personal instability. Medical men have almost concluded that this conflict is the basis of much physical breakdown and nervous collapse. Many doctors now believe that among the contributing causes of the common cold are stress, tension, and inner conflict. Paul must have been in the midst of such a personal civil war when he cried, “O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death?” Then he answered his own question when he said, “I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Prayer for the day

Only Your Holy Spirit, Lord, can control my innermost feelings. Help me to be conscious of Your presence this day.

2012 had been a tough year vocationally. By Christmas I continue to receive rejection. But I continued to trust Jesus. Prov. 3:5-6!!! I look back, and those uncertain days were actually sweet in prayer. My life has gotten better. Praise God!

I love the Lord for the love-mercy His hands wrought, for you and I on that old blood stained wooden cross. Just like an expert carpenter, He plans and builds entire home-houses, now don't you reckon you can say He's the Boss? For He keeps us...

God the Father has a perfect plan for each one of us. He does not want us to be barren but He intended us to produce abundant fruit. This is why the Heavenly father sent us His Spirit, the Great Assurance that we can bare much Fruit. A Million Thanks

I have evidence in my life of God answering my prayers. Now I submit prayers of help from the lord to bring back a woman whom I love and she claims that she loves me. In this I pray for her return in my life to hold my hand in marriage.

I HAVE ACCEPTED THE LORD JESUS CHRIST AS MY SAVIOR, HOWEVER MY BOYFRIEND REFUSES TO BELIEVE, AS DEARLY AS I LOVE HIM I WORRY ABOUT HIM. HOW CAN I PUT MY MIND AT EASE?

Gerry says 2.26.2011, 05:05 a.m.

Our Spiritual battle is as real as any other battle except it occurs within our mind. The two forces of good and evil are at war, constantly. We have absolutely no chance of victory on our own strength as satan is far to powerful and cunning ............ The great news is , as long as we stay focused on the awesome power of the Holy Spirit , who is constantly fighting for us we will win the war . The end has already been written so stay the course and claim your reward , Eternal life in the presence of Almighty God.

Joel says 2.26.2011, 03:29 a.m.

For a little while I seemed to not be seeing any evidence of the Holy Spirit's presence in my daily life. But just as sure as I'm sittin' here, this little coincedence turned into that perfect time in that only the Spirit could consciously compass me about. Down to knees again, graciously, consciously, acknowledging the perfect presence of a living, watchful eye of the Father. Praise him, and seek his hand, and the face of his Son, Jesus, The Messiah. Keep me Lord, and all your faithful, I pray. Amen.---Joel---

Every sinful course of action can be corrected by the indwelling Holy Spirit. Man has to just allow that choice.
