How Will You Live?

February 18, 2013

And Jesus said, . . . and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.
–Mark 14:62

The world in which we live is full of pessimism. No Christian has the scriptural right to go around wringing his hands wondering what we are to do in the face of the present world situation. The Scripture says that in the midst of persecution, confusion, wars, and rumors of wars, we are to comfort one another with the knowledge that our Lord Jesus Christ is coming back in triumph, glory, and majesty. Many times when I go to bed at night I think to myself that before I awaken Christ may come. Sometimes when I get up and look at the dawn I think that perhaps this is the day He will come. He has told us Christians to be watching constantly and to be ready, “for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh” (Matthew 24:44). Do you think Christ will come today? “Probably not,” you say. It is on just such a day that He may come. What a glorious time of reunion it’s going to be, when we shall be caught up with Him!

Prayer for the day

Thank You, Jesus, for the hope that even today I may have the joy of seeing You face to face!

I had a dream that Jesus Christ caught us up in heaven. As we went through the gate, I saw many of my loved ones, but when I saw the face of Jesus, I ran to his arms. What a glorius feeling. Holy is the Lord God Almighty.

I read where Christ says in Matthew 24... So it shall be as in the days of Noah (referring to their reprobate ways) it shall be when I return. He is at the door my brother. It will be a welcome knock. Let us prepare others for His return.

I know that the Lord can come any time now, and I will be ready for His coming. Those that don't will need to wake up, read the Bible, ask for forgiveness and accept the Lord.

I will continue to live in joyous anticipation of Christ's imminent return. Numerous biblical signs abound and are currently unfolding before our very eyes, as predicted in God's Holy Word , 2000 years ago.

Thanks Billy, There are some who are not expecting Christ but the Beast, and for them this exhortation would not be encouraging, and yet Christ told us to encourage one another with these words. I am encouraged!

Ángel Lionel Colón Int'l Msnry says 2.18.2011, 1:19 p.m.

That's The Reason when Joseph go To Pharaoh. It Was w/ The LORD'S Power, the same to Daniel, Jesus, Peter, Paul and all of The Apostles. We can't not to be counting in Govenment Affairs. The LORD'S Wisdom is OVER AND EVERLASTING.

Betty says 2.18.2011, 09:45 a.m.

Bro. Billy, I just want to say thank you for always staying so focused on sharing Jesus for all these years. I am 65 and I came to know the Lord at 12; and in all these years, you have been there, with the love of Jesus pouring out of your soul. Jesus was always seen in your smile, eyes and words. I have family members who came to know the Lord through your crusades. I just love you. May God give us many more years with you.

Sherry says 2.18.2011, 09:11 a.m.

Thank you so much Mr. Graham! What a day it will be when we see our Saviours face! Also how wonderful to see our loved ones who have gone before us. The times on Earth are in turmoil right now, but he will take care of us.

Judy says 2.18.2011, 08:53 a.m.

Oh how I miss to meet Christ but unless we accept Jesus then our lives are useless. Brethrens let come back to God.

sam says 2.18.2011, 08:41 a.m.

The solid hope of that glorious meeting with the Lord melts away all of todays sorrow and pain, which is but a fleeting experience.

Chris says 2.18.2011, 07:46 a.m.

One thing that I keep thinking about is a saying that our Pastor has been saying and, " Will I leave this world the way I found it?" I feel this really hits home in today's world. This is a temporary home and the road to Hell is getting wider as the road to heaven is getting smaller. As Christians we must live for today for we know not the day nor the hour! This devotion is always a daily encouragement. God Bless!

Gerry says 2.18.2011, 07:30 a.m.

No man on earth can fix its current condition, in fact scripture says it will continue to decline. However when the trump sounds it will all change in a twinkling of an eye. All believers should stay focused on the Lord in prayer. For it could be at any moment.

Joseph says 2.18.2011, 07:26 a.m.

Bev, Jesus prayed: "And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors." Ephesians 6 is also a chapter of the Bible that calls out to me when I think of your situation. Every breath is a blessing. Keep praying and we'll keep praying too.

Larry says 2.18.2011, 06:51 a.m.

Bev, Wouldn't it be better to ask God for help and guidence to get you out of the situation you are in so that you can know that your debts to someone else have been fullfulled and your family will be able to be proud of you that way.

Olawoyin says 2.18.2011, 06:35 a.m.

Thanks so much For today oh Lord. May we all not loose the call of God about Heaven.

nana says 2.18.2011, 01:11 a.m.

I am everyday encouraged by this daily devotion, I am always eager to read it, to know what God has for me. I couldn't agree with you more that Jesus is coming soon. I thank God that through technology I am able to read your devotion and be part of this wonderful family of God. God bless you so much!

vincent says 2.18.2011, 00:50 a.m.

Dear Billy, I am really challenged today to live a life that our Lord will be proud of. Working in an advertising agency it is tough, nevertheless as the word says The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?amen

Bev says 2.15.2011, 10:47 a.m.

Thank you Mr. Graham for expressing scripture so beautifully. All the financial mess i have gotten myself in it isn't going to matter because Jesus could come today and at least I know I will be in heaven. Please pray that I can make my children proud of me. I pray that when I do go to heaven they can look back and at least everything will be erased. I mean the debt I got my self into. I am still hanging onto that dream of a little three acre plot with a cabin and a two stall barn that I can call my own. please pray for me. God Bless, Bev
