Truth

January 17, 2013

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
–John 8:32

Ours is an age of philosophical uncertainty, and we no longer know what we believe. We stand uncommitted. Everywhere I go, I ask students, “What is controlling you?” When I was a student, I had to face Christ. Who was He? He had made the astounding claim, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me.” I wrestled with the inescapable fact that either Jesus Christ was who He claimed to be, or He was the biggest liar, fraud, and charlatan in history. Which was it? Buddha said toward the end of his life, “I am still searching for the truth.” But here was Jesus who appeared and said, “I am the embodiment of all truth. All truth is centered in me.”

Prayer for the day

Thank You, Jesus, for my freedom—because You are the Truth!

You have to consistantly look to Jesus for truth. Our human race lets us down continually. We always have to be focused on Jesus was when he walked on the water. When he looked away from Jesus, he sunk.

Thanks Jesus! I am very much pleased to hear the good words from Billy Graham. Once Rev.Billy Graham said Jesus is not the only way to Heaven. But thanks Today He said Jesus is God. Amen

In the Truth/JESUS, there is no confusion whatsoever. Satan, the enemy, creates confusion, doubts which cause uncertainty and strife. With JESUS there is the answer, and His peace which surpasses all understanding. Amen

Trust God and receive. We began tithing over a year ago and now have more financial security than when we did not. I'm learning how to trust God in every aspect of my life. He does love us and will work for our good. That's the truth!

I use to just believe naturally. That gift was taken away and I know struggle, seeing how much hypocracy is in the suppose believers. I consider myself a truth seeker and all I see is people hiding behind Christianity. I am drowning in uncertainty.

Joe says 1.17.2012, 08:17 a.m.

Praise be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Each person must decide if Jesus was telling the truth when they read what he said about himself. Your decision will have eternal consequences.

John says 1.17.2012, 06:11 a.m.

As in many areas, we have information overload today - there are too many choices! Even though there is only one way!! Also most people today want to be in control of their own destiny - they do not want to surrender control to anyone, even Jesus.

Annie says 1.14.2012, 06:13 a.m.

For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth (3 John 3,4). Holy Spirit, You are the God of Truth, Amen!

Kate says 1.17.2011, 9:05 p.m.

David says 1.17.2011, 08:26 a.m.

Gerry says 1.17.2011, 08:01 a.m.

We all must decide one day who or what we choose to believe in. That will be the most significant choice we will ever make. Pray hard for Godly direction because only the true way through Jesus Christ, leads to eternal life.

Sharon says 1.17.2011, 07:59 a.m.

Jesus certainly is the truth, the way and the life....this I know!!

sam says 1.17.2011, 02:51 a.m.

Yes, one has to choose between Jesus the Son of God or Jesus the man, and that choice rests upon our decision to allow the Holy Spirit's abode in us, who reinforces lock, stock and barrel that Jesus is the Lord of Lords and King of Kings.
