God Never Makes Mistakes

January 12, 2013

Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
–2 Corinthians 12:9

God is especially close to us when we are lying on a sickbed. God will make the bed soft and will freshen it with His presence and with His tender care. He makes the bed comfortable and wipes away our tears. He ministers to us with special tenderness at such a time and reveals His great love for us. Tell me why the gardener trims and prunes his rosebushes, sometimes cutting away productive branches, and I will tell you why God’s people are afflicted. God’s hand never slips. He never makes a mistake. His every move is for our own good and for our ultimate good. Oftentimes He must deform us and mutilate our own image. Deformity sometimes precedes conformity.

Prayer for the day

When times of tribulation come, help me, dear Lord, to glory in them for Your sake.

God stands beside us even during our darkest hour. He will comfort our heart and calm our soul with his merciful love.

My sickbed is a mountain of debit and financial difficulty due to my past sins and going to college. God has softened that. He allows my wife and I to give, eat, and serve as volunteers. There is a comfort in what God gives not what we are lacking.

I am guilty of not having patience with my husband. It seems everything he does is wrong in some way. I feel as though I tell him the same things over and over again. Please pray for God to mend my marriage of 34 years.

On occasion our Heavenly Father has to get our attention. It is not always fun but it is always profitable. Even if we don't always understand.

My sickbed is my critical and judgmental attitude towards my husband. My sickbed is my attitude that he does nothing right. My sickbed is that I have been negative towards him for almost 2 years now and I want to be free from this stronghold of an attitude of lying in this sickbed of not being grateful and accepting and loving him as he is.

My wife and I have supported this organization for well over 30 years. We have been blessed much more by Father God than the pittance we have contributed to BGEA. Just knowing that we are helping spread the Word is so rewarding in itself not even counting all the grace and blessings we have received. Please pray for and help BGEA

God is the Potter and we are the Clay. Often, God has to lovingly repair a broken masterpiece . Each one is unique and very special to him. It will receive the type of repair that the Potter knows is best . Thank you Lord
