As disciples of Jesus, we are to equip ourselves through prayer and ... Scripture so that we can be steadfast ambassadors for His Kingdom.
—Franklin Graham

The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ). And he brought him to Jesus. (John 1:41–42a, NIV)

Three Andrews Spotted at a Franklin Graham Festival

Three young men, all college students, brought one of their unsaved friends from Philadelphia, Pa., to Binghamton, N.Y., to attend student night at the NYPENN Franklin Graham Festival on June 9, 2007. Just a mile from the Festival location at Binghamton University, their car broke down.

In the spirit of Andrew, these three friends were determined to introduce their friend to Jesus, so they pushed the car the last mile. That evening, the unsaved friend responded to Franklin Graham’s invitation and decided to give his life to Jesus Christ. The students were thrilled but did not know how they would get home. When they retuned to their car after the Festival, it started, and they headed back to Philadelphia.

These three friends are the perfect example of Andrew’s simple determination. They could have given up, but they selflessly persevered and brought their friend to a place where he could hear the Good News of Jesus Christ.

What can you do to introduce others to Christ?

Train yourself and your church congregation in Operation Andrew to reach others for God’s glory.

Operation Andrew

Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, was one of the first disciples of Jesus Christ. After Andrew met Jesus, the first thing he did was introduce his brother to Jesus.

Operation Andrew is a simple, five-step plan designed to help Christians reach out to people they know who need Jesus Christ. By participating in Operation Andrew, you can introduce others to Christ and make a difference in your community.
