Evangelist Will Graham, grandson of Billy Graham and vice president of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, recently returned to the United States following a multi-day evangelistic outreach in Thailand.

The Nakhon Si Thammarat Celebration took place at the Municipal Hall in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand, Nov. 2-4. Approximately 4,750 attended the three-day event, with 323 making a commitment to Jesus Christ following Graham’s messages.

“Southern Thailand is a largely Buddhist area, where there are only a handful – a couple thousand – Christians,” said Graham. “Local organizers were very excited with the turn out and the results of the Celebration as we joined together to proclaim the name of Jesus.”

Graham will return to Thailand next year for a Celebration in Udon Thani.

After leaving Thailand, Graham stopped in Japan to meet with local pastors in Tokyo and the city of Fukuoka, where a Celebration is being planned for 2014. While there he led a prayer service, and also toured the Hiroshima Peace Memorial on the site where the first atomic bomb fell on Aug. 6, 1945. A Will Graham Celebration in Fukushima, Japan, is planned for 2013.

“God has allowed me the opportunity to carry His message around the world, and I’m continually confronted with the fact that the human heart is the same wherever I go,” said Graham. “Whether I’m in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand, or Paducah, Kentucky, people are hurting and looking for something more in this life. They have worries and concerns, and the only hope is found in Jesus Christ.”

The mission in Thailand caps a busy 2012 for Graham, who also preached in Canada, India and Australia this year. In March he held back-to-back Celebrations in Gainesville, Texas, and Terrell, Texas, attended by nearly 10,000 people. Earlier this year he was featured in People magazine.
