Ruth’s Hope for You

August 1, 2007 - Each one of us must stand before God someday. If your time were now, would you be ready? You can be. Confess that you are a sinner—that you have broken God’s Law—and that you are willing to turn from your sin. Believe that Jesus died for you on the cross and rose again. Surrender yourself to the Lord Jesus Christ, and let Him come into your life and change you. The Bible says, “Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life” (John 3:36). God loves you and wants to spend eternity with you. We hope you won’t put off such an important decision.

Steps to Peace With God

STEP ONE
God’s Purpose: Peace And Life
God loves you and wants you to experience peace and life—abundant and eternal.
The Bible says ... “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” —John 3:16, NIV

STEP TWO
The Problem: Our Salvation
We chose to disobey God and go our own willful way. This results in separation from God.
The Bible says ... “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” —Romans 3:23, NIV

STEP THREE
God’s Bridge: The Cross
Jesus Christ died on the cross and rose from the grave. He paid the penalty for our sin and bridged the gap between God and people.
The Bible says ... “But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” —Romans 5:8, NIV

STEP FOUR
Our Response: Receive Christ
We must trust Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and receive Him by personal invitation.
The Bible says ... “Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” —John 1:12, NIV

I have faith in God and have been a Christian for many years. For really the first time in my life Ive been having financial problems. I know the economy is bad for everyone. I'm a person who seems to have to work so hard for everything. For the last year Ive held down a full time job and most of the time two part time jobs and I'm barely holding on. I thank God for my blessings of which I have many.
