Which Direction Will You Choose?

Will Graham speaks to crowd of more than 16,000 at the zMAX Dragway in Concord, N.C.

June 27, 2011 - “The road that you're going down has an end,” said Will Graham.

Which Direction Will You Choose?

On Saturday, the Faith, Family and Freedom celebration held at zMAX Dragway in Concord, N.C., was a scene of exciting entertainment, great music and a spectacular fireworks display. The Carolina sun was shining and more than 16,000 gathered to celebrate summer at the annual concert held in partnership by 106.9 The Light and New Life 91.9.

Entertainers including Kutless, Britt Nicole, Echoing Angels and Caleb performed on stage. Freestyle Motocross by Todd Bennick demonstrated gravity-defying tricks and stunts.

Will Graham, grandson of evangelist Billy Graham, who has preached at events around the world, spoke to the energized audience.

Graham told the audience about a time his father, Franklin Graham, took him to the “big city” of Charlotte. He was dropped off and told to find his way home. Will had made the trip many times but never alone. He knew that at some point the road would end and he would have to make a decision of which way to go. The right choice would lead him home.

The question was asked, “Which direction will you choose?”

I-77 south ends in Columbia, S.C.; to the north in Charleston, W.V. No matter which road you choose, it will come to an end and you will be forced to make a decision.

Some have chosen drugs, sex and idolatry. These are things that will destroy you. Not all roads are created equally and not all roads lead to good. The road to evil is paved with distractions and false fulfillment.

“God wants you to make a decision to change directions,” pleaded Graham. “He is waiting for you, if you'll just change direction and turn.”

We are all sinners. But God will forgive you of your sins if you choose Him.

The road you’re on might be leading you to destruction. It may be leading you to isolation. It may be leading you to fear. But if you choose to travel the road with Christ, He will lead you home. “Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”” (John 14:6 NIV)

Are you willing to get off that road and change directions?
