A Christmas Greeting from Billy Graham

December 22, 2010 - After a busy week of meeting George W. and Laura Bush, and being interviewed by Greta Van Susteren on FOX News, Billy Graham did not want to leave Charlotte without addressing the staff of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. He also gave a message for all of you!

A Christmas Greeting from Billy Graham

Mr. Graham's Greeting:

I came here to say two words: “Merry Christmas!”

I also want to say there is so much more to Christmas than what we see and hear on the radio and television. The whole thing is about Jesus. When I look into that crib, I see the greatest teacher that ever lived. The only way that we can ever get to heaven is through Him, and His sacrifice on that cross.

Paul said, ‘God forbid that I should glory save that the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.’

During this Christmas season, when the world seems to be in turmoil, wars are breaking out in different places, crime is rampant, and many things are happening that are great sins in the sight of God. But in that crib is the person who grew up to save us. And He did.

He died on the cross and suffered as few men have ever suffered. It is through Him that all of us—the stripes that He took are the stripes that we deserved—the stripes of hell. Jesus took the hell for us.

Thank God we have that great privilege to ask Him into our hearts and receive Him as our Savior. He has changed our lives.

I want to say to all, have a blessed Christmas.

Give your life to Jesus Christ. Merry Christmas to everyone, and God bless you, your family, and your friends.

Your magazine always carried the message of salvation and the Bible answers to problems before anything else and I could send it to non-christians who had problems and needed the message of salvation. Dear Billy Graham,You are an awesome servant of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you for your countless years of devotion and obedience to Him. Yes, well done good and faithful servant. I will always hold in my heart a love and admiration for your wife, Ruth, too. Although I have never met her personally (or you), I could see in her face Jesus' love and she glowed with it. She stood by your side faithfully. You both are a true example of the unity God's wants for us in marriage... united as one. She is greatly missed but what peace in knowing she is waiting for you and that you will be together for eternity with Jesus. That is beautiful. May God Bless you and your family always.

However, I fail miserably at times and look to you and your words for guidance. I'm in awe at how you do it. Rest assured that your messages have helped me to be a better person and Christian. May GOD place more disciples like you in our lives. I thank you for your years of service and devotion. I thank God for this privilege. I now am 86 and have all the "old age" problems. I get so discouraged as I cannot serve Him as I once did. I thank God that I can go most Sunday mornings to Church and I can still send cards and letters in His name. When I get down in the dumps, I think of you and how hard it must be for you for the same reason I feel. I thank you for showing us how we should accept what ever is in store for us here and for keeping us thinking about what is to come. Praise God and thank Jesus for our future. Mark says 12.24.2010, 8:13 p.m.

Dear Rev. Billy Graham, Your message has touched countless souls throughout the world, including mine. This got me to thinking about large numbers of people. For example, while doing our Christmas shopping each of us have likely been in large crowds at the malls and other places. When we see a large crowd we see them simply as “a lot of people.” But when Jesus looked at the great multitudes He saw them as “Sheep having no Shepherd.” He saw them as “lost souls.” And those who sought Jesus experienced His great power. He provided “physical” healing to the paralyzed man -the woman with the issue of blood, the dead child, and the blind men. But more importantly, as you have said, He provides an even far greater healing to all those who seek it today - He provides “Spiritual Healing”. THIS....is the REAL POWER of Christ....This is the REAL POWER of Christmas....THE POWER TO SAVE! Within His Name there is the POWER of ETERNAL LIFE! His is the POWER “that brings salvation to everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16). “..through faith we are shielded by HIS POWER!” (1 Peter 1:5). “Salvation and glory and POWER belong to God” (Revelation 19:1). And to each of us He has also given a great power, the power to accept Him, or reject Him. But we will not always have this power. One day it will be too late. Either Christ will return, or we will die, and if we delay we will have forfeited that power. There will never be a better time to use that power than today, right now. I join you this Christmas.

Rev. Billy Graham I am blessed to have grown up in the same time period to hear and know about one of Jesus's laborers because you know Jesus said the harvest is plenteous but the laborers are few. You have shown us how to keep the faith of Jesus and to run the race and to let no man take our crown. I thank Jesus for Franklin Graham your son another laborer that the Father of the Harvest has sent. We are all truly bless by Father GOD the Lord of the harvest, for many are gathered but a few are chosen. Thank you for showing us the love of Christ and to get to know the love of Christ so we can get through this sinful world we live in but follow in our hearts souls and minds the love of Christ the only God, just as GOD told us I am the only God if there were others Gods I would have told you. I am the only God I am that I am. Thank you for being a laborer for the Lord of the harvest you will have joy that no man can take from you. Thank you, a Sister-in-Christ. Blessed is he that comed in the name of the LORD.
