'God Knows Your Heartaches'

A Letter From Billy Graham

May 11, 2011 - In this letter, written days before he turned 92, Billy Graham encourages those who are enduring hardships.

'God Knows Your Heartaches'

He hears you when you cry to Him...He knows your hurt, your fear and groaning.

'God Knows Your Heartaches'

November 2010: In a few days I’ll be 92. I would have never dreamed I would live this long. My wife, Ruth, passed away a little over three years ago, and a little bit of me died with her. I miss her more with each passing day. This was Ruth’s favorite time of year. She enjoyed watching the leaves turn and couldn’t wait to build a fire at the first hint of autumn. Always joyful, Ruth brightened up the darkest of days.

Foreboding clouds darken the world this side of Heaven as controversy swirls over the debate “who is a Christian.” USA Today ran an article last month by a professor from the University of Chicago stating, “America’s fastest-growing brand of belief is non-belief.” Confronted with the myriad of religions in the world, it isn’t difficult to see why people are finding it easier to accept them all—or none at all.

But having faith in religion only clouds the truth. It brings greater confusion and deeper doubt, because religion can be anything! The Bible indeed sheds light on this dilemma that stirs in the human soul and carries the truth of redemption by the death of our Savior and His glorious resurrection. This is truth—God coming to man in a personal relationship. This is why He sent His Son to earth to redeem the human soul from sin that leads to despair.

The Bible says, “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that he lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding” (Ephesians 1:7–8, NIV).

Recently Dr. Mark O’Farrell, president of Trinity College in Florida (where I attended Bible school as a young man), sent me the school’s newsletter with a wonderful insight from Scripture. He is graciously allowing me to share this tremendous spiritual application with you as to the state of despair that so many are experiencing today.

The Bible tells of the children of Israel who were enslaved in Egypt. One of their major tasks was to make bricks by an ancient process that required mixing clay and straw. The Egyptian taskmasters stopped providing the necessary straw, ordering the laborers to find their own straw, but with no adjustment in the quota of bricks they were required to produce. What was necessary to accomplish the work was taken away even though the expectation and demands remained the same.

Have you experienced this kind of despair—having to make bricks without straw? The income is no longer there, but the bills keep coming. Resources and workers are cut, but not the workload. Age or health robs strength, but life’s duties remain. A wife or husband is gone, yet family responsibilities continue. What is your straw that has been taken away even though you must somehow still complete the task or fulfill the responsibility?

The Bible says, “The people of Israel groaned because of their slavery and cried out for help. ... God heard their groaning. ... God saw the people of Israel—and God knew” (Exodus 2:23–25, ESV). God knows your heartaches! He hears you when you cry to Him. He knows that your straw has been taken away. He knows your hurt, your fear and groaning. He knows! And He is doing something about it. “I know their sufferings, and I have come down to deliver them” (Exodus 3:7).

The Deliverer is on the way! How God acts on your behalf may not be exactly the way you envision, and His timing may not be what you prefer, but He knows your situation and He remembers His promises to you.

Going through hardship tends to plow up the surface of our lives to uncover the depths that provide greater strength of purpose. Deeply plowed earth yields bountiful harvests. When difficulties come we must learn to entrust each day into God’s hands and express our thanks to the Lord for never leaving us alone. I have talked with many over the years who have fallen on hard times but found light in the darkness while expressing thankfulness to God.

As we approach the Thanksgiving season I am reminded of the many commands in God’s Word to be thankful in all things. "Begin the thanksgiving in prayer" (Nehemiah 11:17, KJV); "Come into his presence with thanksgiving” (Psalm 95:2, ESV); and then the Scripture urges us to “Continue in prayer ... with thanksgiving" (Colossians 4:2, KJV).

There is no better time than now to thank all those who have stood with us in prayer and support in the work God is doing through the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. I am grateful for each one who joins with us in reaching out to where the Gospel seed is being sown. There remain nations to be cultivated and souls to be redeemed. There are harvest lands of great promise.

I long to tell more people about God’s truth and the salvation it brings when people repent and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ who loves us and longs to hear our lips praise Him for the mighty works He has done. Perhaps the Lord will strengthen me in the coming year to once again stand with Bible in hand to declare with thanksgiving that salvation is found in the Lord Jesus Christ, rich in mercy and love. The Bible says, "For [God’s] mercy reaches unto the heavens, and [His] truth unto the clouds" (Psalm 57:10, NKJV).

May God bless you,
Billy Graham

Blessed Birthday and Thank you for doing like Hudson Taylor and "holding to God's faithfulness" in preaching, mobilizing for, and living the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ these many years! When I was in my childhood and youth, you were like a clarion call, reminding me of life's top priority. In my college years, your steadfast proclamation spurred me on to say "no" to the world and "yes" to God's call. My dear wife Patty of 38 years, with the Lord since 2008, served with me in fulltime evangelism, then, overseas for 10 years, to work with OMFI among Muslims in the Philippines. These last 20 years I have been salt and light in California public schools. I praise God for your good words and works, and glorify our Father Who is in Heaven and dwells within us. I love you as a father in the Faith, and thank God for your family and all your associates.

Maxine says 11.23.2010, 8:21 p.m.

Dr. Graham, I thank God for your love for the Lord. Your messages reflect this in every word you utter. So many times the words you speak are what I need to hear when there seems to be no solution to my pain or suffering. But I've learned God is always there in his time, not mine. What a blessing. I saw you in person in K.C., Mo. the last time you were there.

May you have a Happy Birthday Dr. Billy Graham. I'm so thankful to God for your ministry and for standing up for God's Truth all these many years. I read one of Ruth's books, "It's My Turn", and I enjoyed it very much...it's easy to see why you could miss her. I think God gave you a perfect help meet....Thank you for serving Jesus--you are still very needed....for you are a source of Great Light and Strength for us Christians who are in this generation....when times seem to be growing darker...in the world. We need to get back to Jesus. Just to seek Him again....in our Nation. True Repentence at the highest levels. From our President on Down---Like they did in Ninevah in the book of Jonah! I love you and your family....you are a great voice for Christ in this World....may you have many more birthdays and the strength to preach.....God Bless You!!!! Your children are doing a superb job in living up to the standards you instilled in them. They are great Christian examples. Thank you and God Bless you Dr. Billy Graham...."Happy Birthday"!!!!

Recently I have seen many come against you trying to accuse you of deviating from the Truth and what a shame that there are those who are trying to stain your impeccable reputation. For this I thank you and I thank God for your example. May God bless you today and every day.

Dear Dr. Graham....I've watched you as often as you have been on TV....and got down on my knees at God's calling through one of your crusades. Even though I've been a Christian most of my life....you brought Christ into focus for me as a personal relationship developed. I have had many "straws" in my life, but I am truly blessed. Even though the BGEA is a wonderful thing, I believe God has appointed you the last "great" evangelist. I hope you live another 92 years, as when you go to Heaven, I also believe it will be the end of this world as we know it. I would love to come to see your library because I think it will be very close to Heaven. God bless you Dr. Graham, and Happy Birthday.

Lorenzo says 11.8.2010, 11:38 a.m.

Dr. Graham:I just want to thank you for all your time devoted to the gospel. You've been an inspiration to me and the whole world and have greatly improved my relationship with the Lord Jesus. I was born and raised in a comunist country (Cuba) and remember that I wasn't even allowed to say that I believed in God. But Jesus got ahold of me and now I live in this great country of yours where the Gospel is preached everywhere. I really hope i can do what you've done in this world. When I see you preaching, I see myself doing the same even though I am not a preacher. God bless you and your family. You are truly a gift from God to this corrupted world.Lorenzo Hernandez

Thank-you so much Dr. Graham for putting words to what I have been experiencing - trying to make bricks without the straw. I am facing life unable to work yet still having bills to pay as well as health and weakness and still having to carry on daily activities. It is nice to know I'm not the only Christian this happens to. Why does God allow these to happen to his people? How am I to deal with my adversity? I have asked the Lord to set me free so many times from my personal situation but I am never delivered and I don't know why. I thank God for you Dr. Graham and I wish the very happiest of birthdays to you. Thank-you for the encouragement that God will deliver me.

Teresa says 11.7.2010, 10:47 p.m.

Jesus is my no.1 hero...and you Dr.Graham are my no.2 hero. I was only 14 when one of your messages gripped my heart and I knew that I MUST give my life to Jesus. I acknowledged that even at that young age I was an awful sinner. Lost and undone 'Nothing" without Jesus. So overwhelmed I and my best friend Susie knelt down and asked Jesus into our hearts. Salvation came immediately..but I let peer pressure fold me in.Then after getting married and divorced at a young age I (out of hurt and despire) went the ways of the world. I had contemplated suicide...my life was a mess. But just as I tried there was a still small voice and an overpowering love that swept over me like a river...I KNEW IT WAS JESUS...Saving me yet again...I had left him BUT He had never left me or forsaken me!!I cried out to him and the healing of ALL the hurt and mental anguish melted like snow....ran right out of my heart! I could literlly FEEL it leaving me!Now I am in my 50's and have a strong Relationship with Jesus. He is my closest friend. He knows me better than I know myself. He has kept me all of these years!I fall in love with him all over again daily!May God Richly bless you for being the blessing you are to Us all around the world!Thank YOU MY Heavenly Father FOR the REV.Billy Graham. My story isn't finished yet,,,,,,it will go into His eternity.

i have had multiple straws pulled from me. I lost my husband to worldly things and to my best friend about six years ago. the wound is still very fresh. I have two children my daughter who is my oldest lives with her grandma she is refusing to talk to me now and that breaks my heart tremendously we were talking every night on the phone. it has to do with her brother who lives with me hes eleven now and has many disibilities which require my full attention. I have been blessed to have read this God does know my heartaches and is with me. I seem to forget so many times yet so gratefull when reminded. God bless you please pray for me and my children that his will be done not mine. proverbs 3:5,6 help me alot when I remember to recite it.

Charlotte says 11.5.2010, 02:27 a.m.

Dear, dear Billy Graham, if America had a pope, you would be it. I have never put much faith in any pastor, but I believe everything that you teach. I can't help but cry when I watch your crusades on tv. I have ask God to forgive my awful sins several times, but I think I have waited too long. Each day when I wake up, I still have the sinful thoughts and wicked ways as I have always had. I love God, and I know that He died on the cross for me, but something just doesn't feel right. I have a lot of mental issues and I am wondering if that could be the reason that I do not feel God in my heart. I love you Mr. Graham, and I thank you for your messages. Happy Birthday to you dear, kind sir. Will you pray for me?

Martha says 11.4.2010, 10:31 p.m.

Happy Birthday Dr. Graham I lost my husband this year from a heart attack. Your ministry helped me find comfort knowing I will be with him again. We were blessed to be able to attend one of your crusades and God changed our lives because of you. Thank You.

Judyth says 11.4.2010, 8:14 p.m.

Your ministry is so God blessed. My grandfather, back in 1960's, gave in to pressure from my mum to attend one of your Crusades in Brisbane, Australia. He was an atheist and espoused communist propaganda, regularly bagging God. After the Crusade, he never bagged God again to mum, and we believe that he quietly did business with God that night, and that we might see him in heaven because of your ministry. Praise God! He died in 1968 with a relaxed peaceful look in death.

Narelle says 11.4.2010, 7:34 p.m.

You, Dr Graham are a walking Epistle to the love of God for His people and His faithfullness. My Maternal Grandparents were born again at one of your crusades in Sydney in the 50's. I myself am a Bible College student and Graduate in early December. It is an invaluable tool to me as Bible College was to you God Bless You for the humble man of God you are.

A HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU REV BILLY. I OFTEN THINK OF YOU AND PRAY TOO which is a great privilege to His children. I remember Ruth's words about you I read somewhere, it says something like no matter what Billy says or do my job is to love him. I just feel that for God's children when they get married it shouldn't be "till death do us part". I think even death no longer can part but makes us wait for the great wedding when the Bride Groom together we all visit with loved ones who will behold it. Sure is a long wait but I guess each passing day mean sits ONE day closer.Thank you GOD for All promises true!

Linda says 11.4.2010, 5:36 p.m.

Denise says 11.4.2010, 12:30 a.m.

My straw, well, I guess death. It seems to always come. I'm the youngest of now eight. My oldest brother is gone, my nephew just died a month ago. My leaders are going through. I get tired but keep on pressing. When I feel like I have no hope, his grace proves otherwise. Tears, yes, tons! endurance, yes, strength, yes, life, yes, memories, yes, God has not promised a rose garden. He said He would never leave me, He said He would never put on me more than I can bear. He said that He is a Father to the Fatherless. He said He would take my sorrow, my griefs, my burdens, everything, so I surrender it all to Him. I thank Him for His word, the whole word, not a half truth, but the whole truth.

LISA says 11.4.2010, 11:32 a.m.

Dr. Graham, thank you for the words on grief of losing your wife. I, too, lost my husband of 50 years, 10/272009. He loved the mountains and fall tremendously. He died in our vacation home in the mountains without any warning after we had spent 5 days enjoying God's beautiful creation. I can't believe he is in Heaven, but God took him wihere he loved to be and without any pain. What a WONDERFUL BLESSING in death. Thank you for being God's servant in a magnificent journey to all mankind!!!!!

Sandi says 11.4.2010, 10:31 a.m.

I am ready, but I need to help those I love! Thank you so very much for your ministry!

Donna, Hamptonville says 11.4.2010, 10:06 a.m.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Sometimes its hard to remember God is with us, especially when we are hurting. I have experienced loss through death, but the hardest thing is to lose a loved one to "the worldly evils". I thank God for the assurance that in the end, I will be with Him and my loved ones who accepted Him as their Savior. I pray for those who have not accepted Him. God is in control.

Thank you, this is timely. You're right in saying that when a love one die, a part of you die with him, that's what I felt when my husband died Oct 09, 2010 at age 56. And every passing day the pain seems unbearable but with God's strength I was able to survive and will continue to do so. My faith in God that someday He will fetch me to be re united with loved ones who went with Him ahead of me grows stronger everyday.

Dr Graham, I have listened to you preach and watched your crusades in awe, since I was very young. Little did I know it would be the very foundation I would fall back on when life threw me a curve. I lost my mother, father and half sister to cancer and my husband with heart disease to a massive stroke. My current husband abandoned me and left me homeless and penniless. I have never had any children, but thank God for my step daughter that I raised! She took me in and I thank God every day for the great opportunities before me. I have never given up on God, he knows my heart. I believe in Jeremiah 29. Thank you Dr Graham, for your ministry and Happy Birthday. God's Peace.

I just want to thank you for being so faithful and true to God, Sister Ruth and family and your calling. I loved reading " It's my turn now " by Sister Ruth! How she inspired my heart though my life was filled with so much heartbreak. No matter what, my only source of hope, joy, life itself... was and still is God. I'm 52 now and am awaiting for my son's kidney transplant soon, my older son being the donor. All in all, Brother Billy, my greatest joy is just worshipping Him! May God bless and keep you, Brother Billy, you're a man after God's own heart and in being that way... a huge blessing to so many.

"I know their suffering, and I have come down to deliver them. . ."Just the exact words I needed to hear right now. Thank you dear God for this assurance!!

Dr Graham, says 11.3.2010, 8:37 p.m.

I have only recently begun listening to some of your earlier crusades but I have to say that they were as powerful then as they are today! Miami '61, Madison Square Gardens in I believe it was '54 and then recently the crusade from '61 in St. Paul. MN. Absolutely incredible and you mention your wife in nearly every crusade; surely a testament to the eternal love you have for her. I lost my 12 year old son about 9 years ago now and I look forward to that day. A day I'm sure you can relate to also. By the way, Miami '61 saved my soul. Having thought I was walking with the Lord for 15 years, your speaking boldly about the pride and selfishness of man brought me to my knees. Literally, my life and my walk completely changed. You preached that crusade 4 years before I was born! God bless you Billy Graham. I hope to meet you one day where I can properly thank you for you boldness. Not sure I will have the opportunity as I'm sure you will be much closer to the throne than I! :)

IMOGENE says 11.3.2010, 8:37 p.m.

You are still ministering to us, even at age 92. Thank you for showing that we never grow to old to share Christ and His redeeming love! I love how you put it into words! Bless you, Dr. Graham! Happy Birthday, and can't wait to read whatever you post next!!

Memories of an unexpected meet says 11.3.2010, 8:28 p.m.

Dear Dr. Graham, I enjoyed this message very much and it hit home for me. I am going through something similar to this and through your message, God has told me he hears me and I trust him. I also want to tell you something while I can still contact you in this world. I met you once onboard a Piedmont Airlines 737-300 on a Sunday when you were traveling from Asheville NC AVL through Charlotte NC CLT to Washington DC DCA airport. We spoke for only a short time and I can still see you sitting there in First Class near the back of that section on the left side of the plane. I told you how I admired your Ministry and what an Honor it is to meet you. If you remember this, please write back. God Bless you and your Ministry. I have watched you on TV and radio most of my life, since I was a kid. With Love, Steve Lyons

How great is our God having lost my son with cancer four years ago also my mother in law December 2009 and sister-in-law July 2010 and now my mother October 10, 2010. I must encourage all who loose loved ones that with God all the pain and loss is lost in His grace and peace that in His love we will meet them all in the days of our going to glory to meet our Savior face to face.

Mary says 11.3.2010, 7:47 p.m.

My husband died 8 1/2 years ago and also, part of me died then too. Some days it is difficult to continue but that is what we must do. God is faithful and enough. Thank you for giving your life and sharing the One who made it possible to share eternity with Him. Blessings!

Donald says 11.3.2010, 7:45 p.m.

God Bless you Brother Graham, countless lives have been touched for Christ through you. As a young evangelist you are an inspiration. I know Ruth is waiting on the banks of Jordan for you. Thank you for your faithful service to the gospel.

Charissa says 11.3.2010, 7:42 p.m.

Thank you for your encouraging words. This is exactly what I have needed to hear for some time. I am struggling in my faith and trying to trust God with everything I have. Life may throw alot of trials in my path, but I know that God is bigger and will provide as He has promised. Blessings on your birthday.

Sandy says 11.3.2010, 7:41 p.m.

I thank God for his patience and graciousness and blessings to me on my journey to His kingdom. Throughout good times and bad, He's been there with and for me. Thank you too, Dr. Billy Graham, for your hard work and sacrifices that you and your dear wife, Ruth, made in your lifelong devotion and teachings of Jesus. I know you have your reward yet to come! I hope that one day I can finally meet you there!

Nikki says 11.3.2010, 7:26 p.m.

Thank you Mr. Graham for sharing your hardships with your Brothers and Sisters in Christ. It is easy to think that someone whom God has used in such a mighty way is without troubles, disappointments and heartaches! You have been a wonderful inspiration to so many..I am hopeful to know too how we can still be used to be a blessing even when we get up in age. Thank you for spurring us on to excellence..Even if the excellence includes one of the Lord's most useful tools..Suffering...

Vickie says 11.3.2010, 7:24 p.m.

Dear Billy, You cannot know this side of Heaven what you have meant to the world. You have been a constant in ours lives when all around us is turmoil. Thank you for your steadfast faith, and your constant and simple message that God loves us even in our sin. You are forever in our hearts. Soon you will be with our Lord and your sweet Ruth. Until then thank you for writing and letting us still hear your voice in our world, we love hearing from you. We hope you will be around for the rapture of the Church. Which we all know is coming soon. God Bless you on your special day and know that you are deeply loved. Hugs!

Lydia says 11.3.2010, 7:24 p.m.

Thank you Billy Graham I have just been going through one of those heartaches and was starting to think that God had forgotten all about me. So it is encouraging to know that God knows my heartaches and sufferings, so i will press on.

Marva says 11.3.2010, 7:20 p.m.

Thanking and praising the Lord for his promise of deliverance. He is so faithful to walk each step of the way, with whatever life throws at us. He is my Lord and Savior, and as Job says, "I know my redeemer lives". It's my prayer today that if you haven't accepted him, you will make that decision now.

Marie says 11.3.2010, 7:19 p.m.

As a deaf person I still keep my faith and God, the spirit is always within me from the time I was born, when my mom died my husband and I did hospice and we could feel god presence around us, helping us keep her confortable, we took care of her for 10 years home nursing care, now God sent us another to help, a deaf foster boy who is so lost in this world he can't commicate. He is like a wild dog now, last weekend I got so angry and hurt cause I can't control this boy but then I realized God sent him to us for a reason and that I have to remind myself to keep my faith and that God is helping us. We take him to church I have no idea if he knows who God is or not. We are praying more than ever. Today I feel more upset about my job and all, but then I read this tonight, and I have to remind myself not to give up, God is good to me all the time in my 40 years and he not given up on us now, and to keep my faith and believe.

Mary says 11.3.2010, 7:12 p.m.

It is a confusing world. My 17 year old nephew, who I am raising, just told me yesterday that he doesn't believe in God anymore. He accepted Christ as a young child, but has become confused with teachings of the world. The Lord knows how this breaks my heart. I will continue to pray for God's presence to be make known in his life.

Jeannie says 11.3.2010, 7:10 p.m.

When I lost my husband. God became the "husband" straw for my bricks... His Word was the straw that was the strong Father brick for my two fatherless children. When I lost jobs, He guided us through. I was unworthy yet He did this for me. Thank you dear Brother Graham for the straw in the bricks of encouraging messages, and thank you Lord God and Jesus Christ!

Elektra says 11.3.2010, 6:56 p.m.

Thank you for your poignant message. I read my copy of Streams in the Desert daily, and it has inspired me through many hardships. This devotional was your and Ruth's wedding gift to me and Thad thirty-five years ago and I cherish it. Happy Birthday.

Sj says 11.3.2010, 6:56 p.m.

Thank-you so much for sharing this - this was a word straight from God for me today. I've just been given a life changing diagnosis - but still I make straw for my 3 year old daughter every day. Thanks for the reminder that God really does care.

Deborah says 11.3.2010, 6:42 p.m.

God Bless you Brother Graham, my straw is gone but I must go on. Thank you for the edification that your message brings. Your message of salvation brought my husband to salvation over 25 years ago and still you minister to my heart. Happy Birthday dear brother, may God reward you with a double portion of blessing. Soon, we will all be reunited again to enjoy a forever autumn with our Savior. Can't wait to see you and sister Ruth then....Please find me until then, making bricks and praying.

Annie says 11.3.2010, 6:41 p.m.

I knoiw I would have not made it if my God had not helped me. Thanks for all the help. I know about cancer, divorce, sickness, losing a son in death , and financial problems but I still have faith that he will help me through.

Jo Ann says 11.3.2010, 6:33 p.m.

I was lost for a very long time, then God found me again. Since, I have lost my home, my health caused me to have to retire early, and I had lung cancer in my lungs. But God made me cancer free now for 2 yrs, and has showed me the way back to Him. He has shown me that he is there even when I think he's not. He's a loving God and oh so AWESOME....God showed me how to go back to church and, Billy Graham.....PS, Happy Birthday Mr Graham, I hope it is a very special day for you...May God shine his Blessing on you Always....

I really enjoyed reading this letter. Thank you for sharing Reverend Graham and thank you for this website. May God Bless You Always!!

Beth says 11.3.2010, 4:56 p.m.

I am being told by my ex-husband that it is ok for men to have multiple wives. I am 52 and at 50 he left me for another women and he said it was because he wanted more children. He is trying to convince me that it is ok because they had multiple wives in the Bible. What do I tell him? I've already told him that God allowed it but did not condone it. I've already told him that in those times it was important to take care of the women and there were more women than men so it fell upon the men to take care of the women and that is not the case today. I've already told him that God did not set up the marriage and family to be more than one wife because the Bible does not talk of wives but always wife. I really don't know what else to say.

christine says 11.3.2010, 4:47 p.m.

Yes, he does know our suffering and yes he does come to our rescue time after time.

Diana says 11.3.2010, 4:36 p.m.

Thank you Dr. Billy Graham, I grew up watching you. Actually my dad made my sister and I watch you every Thursday or Friday, I am thankful he did. Now I am a single mother of two and I am attending school in Shiprock, NM. I have been divorced for 5 years now, been tough, but the Lord surpasses all the trials of being alone and the fear that I may not be able to take care of my kids. He showed me not to fear, not worry, because He loves my kids and me more than any man on this earth can. I am so thankful I have a praying mother who prays for us all, all the time. Your article has put my heart in a light load, and I want to thank you for your love for our Lords children. God Bless you and your staff and family.

Maureen says 11.3.2010, 4:34 p.m.

Believe me I am 71 years young and I remember never missing a programme of Billy Graham when I was a teen. I live in England and the programme was late at night on Radio Luxembourg and poor Dad use to say as he was up at 4-30am for work turn it down , and then I saw how Billy Graham set Dr /Paster Schuller off with televised Crystal Cathedral -until the programme was taken off the channel and I went when he came to England and not to forget Bev Shay with -It is No Secret- which I have sang too. God keep Blessing the work.

Lisa says 11.3.2010, 4:29 p.m.

Thank you for that insight...we do hurt for many reasons. As believers we need to remember God is always there in the toughest of times. He is there to listen, to talk to, even give your burdens to. I know that the "truth" is in Jesus Christ not the world...I will remain faithful, because he gives me my strength with His words and Love!

Elisia says 11.3.2010, 4:23 p.m.

Thank You, I needed to hear this...my straw is my oldest daughter...I have been enlightened and encouraged by this letter...thank you man of God, Thank you Jesus Christ, my Lord....my Savior.
