‘The Good News Keeps Spreading!’
A Letter From Billy Graham
June 22, 2010

God has not reduced the opportunities He gives us to proclaim the Gospel.
The Apostle Paul thanked God for friends who were his “partners in spreading the Good News about Christ” (Philippians 1:5, NLT). That’s how I, along with Franklin, feel about you.
We are deeply grateful for your friendship, prayers, and support, and we praise God that through our partnership with you, the Good News keeps spreading!
For example, just days ago in Brazil, thousands made decisions for Christ during an evangelistic Crusade led by Franklin, two-thirds of them age 18 or younger. Only weeks before that, in a three-day My Hope outreach, at least 50,000 people across the Dominican Republic responded to the Gospel, and reports are still pouring in.
Following the earthquake in Haiti, coal mine explosion in West Virginia, and other disasters this year such as floods in Tennessee, our Rapid Response Team chaplains have comforted and prayed one-on-one with thousands of people (11,000 in Haiti alone), and as a result, many men and women whose lives were overwhelmed by hopelessness have now found the eternal hope that comes only through Jesus Christ.
And at the Billy Graham Library, visitors make personal decisions for Christ daily—every report fills my heart with joy. On a recent Monday, 49 people told our volunteers about praying to receive Christ after hearing the Gospel during their tour. Visitors come from all over the world, and I hope you will have opportunity to visit as well.
In recent months I have felt a growing desire to preach in person again, even if just one more time. It may not be possible with my health, but I have begun preparing a message should God give me strength and opportunity. Meanwhile today, approaching age 92, my main personal ministry is prayer. The Bible tells us that prayer is “powerful and effective” (James 5:16, NIV), and I invite you to be my co-worker in this.
We Need Your Support
Your financial gift will help us to boldly preach the Gospel around the world and in our own nation. Please send a generous gift today.
Paul once wrote to church friends that “there is a wide-open door for a great work here” (1 Corinthians 16:9, NLT), and those words are still true for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association in 2010. Through six decades, God has not reduced the opportunities He gives us to proclaim the Gospel. We have more openings right now for large-scale, effective evangelistic ministry than resources to carry it all out.
Franklin is passionate for the Gospel, and the worldwide team he leads accomplishes more than seems humanly possible. This is only because of God’s blessing. We ask for your continued financial support, even this month if you are able, because God is accelerating our work rather than slowing it.
The result of your prayers and gifts is that people who once were lost now follow the Lord. “As a result of your ministry, they will give glory to God” (2 Corinthians 9:13).
May God bless you in all the ways you serve Him.
Billy GrahamPlease Pray with Me:
- Pray for my son Franklin and the BGEA team as they prepare for evangelistic Crusades in Latvia and Japan. These are not places where it is easy to proclaim the Gospel, but people there need Jesus.
- Pray that many young people will respond to the Gospel this summer during Rock the River Tour West, a series of youth-focused evangelistic events where Franklin will preach numerous times.
- Pray that God will continue to bless the Billy Graham Library as a ministry where lost people hear the Gospel and believers are encouraged in their faith.
- Pray for the upcoming My Hope World Evangelism Television project in the African nation of Malawi, as well as for less visible My Hope projects in four Asian nations where evangelism cannot be done so openly.
- Pray for God’s special wisdom for Franklin and the leadership team as they consider many opportunities for the Gospel in the months and years ahead.
- Pray that God will provide needed financial resources to take the Gospel to people He loves and wants to draw to Himself.

Dear Dr. Graham, May God give you the strengh to preach again even one more time as you write. You have touched the lives of so many people in this world and I will always remember the day in 1975 when we opened our TV in our new country Canada (coming from France) and we heard your voice preaching, with love and authority, the Word of God. From this time we followed your Ministry and are praying for you, your son Franklin, your grand son Will and their teams who are following your path in spreading God's Word around the world.Thank you Dr. Graham for your love for Christ, you have been an example of faith for our family and still does.May God bless you and give you the opportunity to preach again, we pray for and with you.

You have played a big part in my walk with the Lord. A few of my friends and I were in Wanona Lake, IN and stood in the same room where a small group of men layed hands on a young man to send him out to preach the gospel to a hurting world. That young man was you. Standing there in that room we all felt the power of God and prayed to be used as you have been. God bless you Dr. Graham.

Please, Dr. Graham. Preach in Charlotte one more time. I became a born again Christian when you conducted the 1958 Crusaide in Charlotte. As an 8 year old, I walked down the aisle and gave my life to Jesus ad He has never left me since. I worked as an advisor at the last Crusaide in Charlotte and still have the bumper sticker! God has blessed me so many times through your service and I pray that He will allow you to preach one more time. God bless you, Bill Henderson - Huntersville, NC

Dear Brother Billy: God has truly blessed your faithfulness to Him and in His marvelous will the opportunity will come to fruition once more if it is His plan for you. In either case He has used you mightily and may continue in this last public call. If you leave it fully resolved at His feet and not think about it he may then be ready to anser. I do hope somehow that you personally get to read this blog and if you do I do need to meet you in person and have you meet my children and allow them to meet you and be blessed by the Lord thru you. I don not even know why I am requesting this very strange request but felt led to. I live in Georgia with my three boys ages 9 to 3 and an older daughter and we are presently living in the home of my brother and parents until we can get back on our feet. The rest a very long story... my husbanc has not been livng with us for the past 3 years but has visited several times while he works out of state. My kids have seen your life story and I somehow feel that they need to meet you in order that their lives be impacted by you somehow! May God richly continue to bless and keep you until your going home to be with Him. Please write back @ amkeehn@hotmail.com

My contribution is small but will continue as long as I 'm here. I pray for the ministry daily and both Billy and Franklin Graham. God will surely grant Dr. Graham the joy of another great message for this world. Christians need the encouragement and all others need to be saved!!!
Chris says 7.11.2010, 11:35 a.m.
It warms my heart to think I could hear you again. Maybe the Lord will give you strength enough to preach many sermons. The Gospel you preach is truly the only way. Prayer is powerful as you say. I have seen many things in my thirty years that are clear to me that only God could have done with the prayers of many. I believe that you are carrying on the word has a bigger affect than any of us know. A powerful blow to the devil with a powerful tool by the name of Billy Graham of who there is no other that is a shield that America has been lucky to have and will definitely feel once you are gone. Both of my grandmas were prayer warriors for their families and now that one is gone and the other is lost in her old age. I feel it often and ask God to help me develop the ability they had to pray with a purpose so my merciful Lord Jesus will hear clearly. I know that he hears all of his children's prayers. Thanks for you work for God through him you have been a blessing to many
Lois says 7.10.2010, 9:25 p.m.
My prayers will start today and everyday for you Dr. Graham. I know God will provide you strength for this message. I will be looking so forward to this message and will hold every word in my heart. I am 65 now, and if you make it to heaven before me, I will see you there with all of the other saints we all know. I will keep Franklin in my prayers for all the help he does for all the hurting people. I do nursing home ministry and what a blessing. We just get more wise in our old age, and oh how we love our Lord Jesus.
Georgette R says 7.10.2010, 12:44 a.m.
Reverend Graham, you have been a blessing to me since I gave my heart to the Lord in 1977. I have watched many of your crusades on TV and my only regret is that I was never able to attend one in person, try as I may. We just watched the movie "Billy" at our church a few weeks ago and I was so moved by it. The Lord had his hand on Franklin and he has become a great warrior for Christ. I am a prayer partner to your ministry and only wish I could send more each month. The time is short and we all need to do our part in getting the good news to all people. You and your son and all in your ministry are leading that commission. And we love you for that. I pray your health will renewed so that you will be able to preach once again. God bless you Reverend.

Mr Graham, I truly believe that GOD will allow you to preach one more time. As our pastor quoted you this past Sunday (July 4, 2010) "the world is getting closer to the jungle" The world NEEDS to hear the Gospel of the LORD JESUS CHRIST and you are the instrument HE will use. May GOD be with you and your family.
Pat says 7.7.2010, 10:37 p.m.

Patrick Knox says 7.7.2010, 9:38 p.m.
I pray to God for Reverend Billy Graham’s sake and for Reverend Franklin Graham’s passion for the Gospel. May Reverend Billy Graham’s strength not be dissolved, so He will continue to share God’s Divine Nature. I pray also to God for Franklin Graham’s passion for spreading the Gospel. May Reverend Franklin Graham continue to utilize the foundation of the Ministry of Jesus Christ to communicate the Christian principals such as what is written in the Book of 1 Peter: Christian Conduct and Christian Restraint; so the younger generation may follow the Lord Jesus Christ, be prepared to hold ground by putting on the armor of God, grow into being good Christian Citizens who resist evil spirits by practicing good deeds daily for the Lord Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ’s commandment that are written in the Book of John 13:34-35; and also in the Book of 1 John chapter 3. May God continue to excite the passion of Reverend Franklin Graham for the Billy Graham Evangelical Ministry in spreading the Good News to every one about Jesus Christ. In Jesus Christ’s name, Amen.
Marsha says 7.7.2010, 5:51 p.m.
Dr.Graham the world has truly been blessed since God called you to minister his holy word. I truly believe God is calling you to minister one more time to a sinful world that is moving further away from him. I pray that God will give you the strength to do so. I have been blessed through your ministry and books and pray that God will continue blessing you, Franklin and all your family.
Ann says 7.7.2010, 08:15 a.m.
What a joy it will be to hear Dr. Graham to preach a message again. The world is in a mess, and that is what we need to see and hear - a man of God who can still spread the Gospel the way that it should be, instead of so many false preachers. My prayer is that God will allow you to preach as many times as you can. I would be willing to help also to make your wish come true. I will be in prayers for Franklin and for the team. GOD BLESS

Dear Billy, God has all the answers. I have been one of your fans since the 1940's living on a Cotton Mill village in Gaston County NC. Rex Mills was it's name and I remember as a young boy going to tent meetings that had Oral Roberts and Billy Graham and others as speakers. I thank God constantly for you and how much I have learned over the years from your ministry. God knew that I needed to hear a man named "Billy Graham." Thank You.

I have been watching old telecasts on Sky TV in Scotland. I took my daughters to see you when you came to Edinburgh in 1991 (partly it was so I could see Cliff Richard of whom I am a fan), but I have been praying a lot lately and reading my Bible and have asked Christ to come back into my life (not that he ever left, rather I left Him). Pray too for my children and grand-children that they may come to know the Lord. God Bless you.

Who knows better than you how God works! I pray that you will not only preach one more time but as many times as God wills! I have been so blessed by your preaching and entire ministry for decades now, and so dearly loved Ruth, too. I have been blessed immensely by her books, as well as yours, too. I have prayed for you, for Ruth, and for Franklin, as well as been blessed to help support the BGEA and Samaritan's Purse for many years now. Arlington, TX Rev Billy Graham, I was cleaning out one of my bibles and I found the brochure The Mission dated Saturday October 19, 2002, I was a counselor at your crusade at Texas Stadium (no longer standing) and that night when I went on the field to minister to 4 ladies you were praying and you said give up all your bad habits and I look up at the hole in the roof which God looks down from heaven per the late Mr. Tom Landry and I gave up my cigarettes for good. It has been 8 years and that 3 day mission was my life changing experience. The song we sung was Blessed Assurance. We serve an awesome God and the holy spirit will give you strength to preach again even if you are sitting in a chair. I love you Brother Billy Graham and your son will carry your torch. Blessings to you and your family. I will continue to pray for your church and missionaries around the world. I want to visit your library someday. Love In Christ,Margaret

Dr. Graham, my heart was truly filled with joy when I read that you wanted to preach again. Since I was a boy, I have literally grown up watching and listening to your ministry on television and radio, thanks to my mother. You have touched so many lives in your career and led so many souls to Christ. Your love for the Lord is so pure and real and honest. You inspire me to try and make a difference in this hurting world. I personally accepted Jesus Christ at your Crusade in Jackson, MS in 1975. Having Jesus as my Lord and Savior has brought a joy and peace into my life that's hard to explain. I pray that God will strengthen you and grant the desire of your heart to preach at least one more sermon, perhaps more. May God continue to bless you, Franklin, Will, and everyone on the staff at BGEA and Samaritan's Purse.

I, also will pray for hearing Billly Graham again-his ministry has touched what must be in the millions and one of them is me. I also will pray for Franklin as he carries on with the ministry his dad started-and continues to touch so many. I read "Unto the Hills" almost daily-this is the second time. I have never found daily devotionals that speak so clearly to my heart and make so much sense for daily life. I will always love Dr. Graham for all that he has done and for his ministry that continues.

The healing touch of Christ is more precious to my patients than the physical healing for which they come to the hospitals. When they realize that nothing can take the happiness away; poverty and pestilence, sickness and disease, violence and anarchy and even death; they have found the rock of ages that will deliver the believers in it's cleft.Sam

Rindy R. says 6.30.2010, 10:43 p.m.
I already donate to BGEA and Samaritan's Purse monthly. I truly believe in spreading the Good News daily. I believe that God has a path for everyone and everyone has a God Given talent. I pray daily and read the Bible daily. I always used to listen to your sermons on the radio with my grandmother and used to watch your Broadcasting Evangelistic Programs on TV. I wish I had known that Samaritan's Purse was located in Boone when I went to school there. I have so many of your books and love them all. You are a great man, as is your son, Franklin. Thank you so much for all you have done for me in reading your books, which all have inspired me to be a better Christian and try daily to spread the news of Jesus Christ, God, and the Holy Spirit. I would love to hear another sermon from you. I wish you the best of health. God Bless You! You have helped so many people come to believe in Jesus Christ, who died for us so we could go to heaven as we all are sinners and can ask for forgiveness through the death and resurrection. God gave His only begotten Son, to die for us so we may live eternity in no pain, only beauty.
Twila says 6.30.2010, 10:14 p.m.
Was so very happy to hear that you were going to try to preach again, Lord willing. Through God you have brought Gods word into so many homes and so many people came to know God and know what being a Christian really means. Have also enjoyed hearing your son preach the Gospel also. I will try to send a donation but we have been helping out the young Grandchildren so will send what I can. Also would like to request prayer if you do not mind , for our youngest Grandson. We found out this summer that he has Muscular Dystrophy. God will see him through it I know, it is just so difficult to watch him. We will pray for you also as you prepare your sermon. May God Bless you.

Debra says 6.30.2010, 3:00 p.m.
My heart was filled with joy when I read that Billy Graham feels moved to preach again. I have longed to hear him preach God's word again as I have for so many years. His son Franklin has stepped into some mighty big shoes, and is doing a magnificent job for the Lord. But Dr. Graham has been a part of my life for so long. My mom always wanted to watch him on tv, and as a result, my sister and I grew up watching him as well. I am in awe of Dr. Graham and his family, and pray that their good works continue. I see how they love God and serve him in everything they do, and it makes me want to try to make a difference also. I will pray for you and with you, Billy Graham, and am proud to do so. God bless you and your family richly.
Kristen says 6.30.2010, 2:52 p.m.
Whatever the outcome of your decision Billy, God will get the glory. I will pray for your decision and look forward to the day we will meet in these last days or in the new heaven to come. May God bless you and continue to speak through you to change others and change the world. I greatly admire you and hope that one day I can have a ministry like yours so that I can impact this nation for Christ.
Beverly says 6.30.2010, 2:25 p.m.
Lord Jesus, we are blessed by Your love and the Spirit that You have given us to intercede for the lost and Your people. Lord You have worked mighty things through Billy and his family and we thank You. You have shown Your mighty power and opened the doors for so many to come to You and we thank You. Lord we know that You have work for each of us to do and I ask that You would give each of us the strength, courage, faith and discipline to do this work. Lord, I especially ask that you would be with Rev. Billy in these days of poor health and that you would empower him to do Your work all the rest of his days as you see fit. Help him as I am sure he still misses his precious Ruth and help him to be an encouragement to others as You encourage him. Bless the efforts of his hands, mouth and prayers. In Jesus Name, Amen
David says 6.30.2010, 2:14 p.m.
I also pray that Rev. Billy have at least one more chance to preach the gospel. I would love to see that happen and if you were in need of someone to help him to the podium and even hold him up as he speaks it would be an honor to do that for such a great warrior for God. Aaron and Hur had that honor for Moses and I would consider it an honor to volunteer to help Billy share the Word one last time in person.
Amber says 6.30.2010, 1:38 p.m.
Billy You inspire me to become all that God has called me to be. I am so blessed by your words and the powerful truth that you speak! I thank God for you and your family. Jesus Christ saved me and my unborn son through a TV message given by Billy Graham in 1983. As a teen, facing an unplanned pregnancy, the Lord used the words of Mr. Graham to save my soul and my son's life. After surviving a violent marriage, 30 years later, I will soon open a Christ-centered foundation to eradicate family violence in Northeastern Ohio, bringing restoration and hope to everyone involved and reconciliation to the family. Thank you for your ministry.

Pastor Billy Graham, may GOD give you the strength that you need to be able to preach once more. I still remember, when you had Evangelistic Meeting in The Philippines in the early 1960. I was one of the college student volunteers to help lead one to CHRIST. Yes, I could still remember her name: Thelma. It was a wonderful experience doing things for CHRIST.GOD has blessed us to have a son who enters the ministry. He is now a Pastor for fifteen years in the Philippines.May GOD bless the BGEA.

Cathy says 6.29.2010, 8:10 p.m.
I am so blessed to be living at a time when Billy Graham was (and is) preaching the Gospel. I am approaching 77 years of age and remember seeing Billy Graham 's shadow on the stairwell of the First Baptist Church of Dallas, TX. His coat was flowing behind him and with his sharp profile, he looked like an avenging angel. The church was overflowing and my mother and I were listening in the basement. I remember another time, around 1954 when Billy Graham preached in the stadium at SMU. HOW POWERFUL IS HIS SIMPLE MESSAGE !!!! I truly feel Billy Graham is the "Paul" for our century. I hope he can preach again, just one more time.
Sandy says 6.29.2010, 8:08 p.m.

Brother Graham You will be in my prayers as you prepare to preach once again. Please be in prayer for my husband who is 78 and has come a long way back due to his health. I pray that he will be able to continue in the ministry somewhere where his age and experience in counseling will be of great value. He still has a lot to contribute and God is not finished with him, yet. I have seen Bill tell one who thought he was dying, "God is not finished with you yet--and just like foreknowledge, his statement was carried out to be true!" May God pour out His strength and His message upon you. Bless our Land again with an outpouring of His Holy Spirit through His words. Thank you, Brother Billy, for doing all the things you have done in your life. Strengthen those neck muscles for all the crowns you surely will have waiting for you in Heaven. And, say "Hello" to Thelma and Woodrow Parker should you arrive there before I do. Tell them I am on my way, too. Love you LeAnne Parker Bryant

I pray and reaffirm my relationship and faith with God daily. I do think other countrys need to hear the biblical word. But, I also would like to see so much more work done here in this greatest of nations. I passed a gentleman on the street the other day, his sign read "homeless but not worthless". I handed him some money, and wished him luck. I would like to see more people in this country realize the root of what Jesus taught....Love. The man wasn't pretty, and I don't have alot of money, but that sign broke my heart. Here plenty of works need to be done, there are alot of broken people right here. Okay, I'll get off my soap box now. =) God Bless!
