Taking the Gospel to Australia

As a featured speaker at Reality: A Community Event, Will Graham is proclaiming the Gospel in three different Australian cities from May 22 – May 30. Reality is described on their Web site as “two weeks of world-class entertainers and speakers who will clearly present the truth of Jesus Christ and the reality of life.”

From children’s programs to youth rallies to events for adults, Reality is geared toward the entire community. Entertainers include Australian bands Chasing Bailey, Compliments of Gus and Jonnday. Other speakers include ex-Deputy Prime Minister John Anderson and his wife, Susan.

Graham preached the Gospel message on Saturday and Sunday nights in Moree at a youth event. Over the course of both nights, an estimated 1,000 people attended both rallies. In a small town of 8,000 residents, that’s 12.5% of Moree’s population.

"It was a pleasure working with the local churches in Moree. I appreciate the opportunity to come to the northwest part of New South Wales to work with the local churches to proclaim the Good News. We were able to see a large turnout and a wonderful response to the Gospel,” said Graham.

“Not only did we see people come to Christ, but we also witnessed the local churches of Moree working beautifully together. I heard many comments that this was one of the first times that they had all the local churches working together on a single evangelistic outreach."

God is moving mightily among these small rural communities of Northwest New South Wales. “A solid foundation is being laid for continued ministry in this area,” said Jamey Wooten of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.

“There is an excitement that continues to build as we move into the meetings that will be held over the next three nights in Gunnedah, and wrap up the week with three nights in Tamworth.”

Please continue to pray for the Reality events continuing in Tamworth over the weekend:
