My Answer

Why do people like you say that we need to have Jesus' help in order to deal with our problems? I've had a lot of problems from time to time, but eventually I solved them, and I didn't need God to do it. — C.G.

Did it ever occur to you that God may have been helping you deal with your problems—even if you weren't aware of it? After all, He gave you your abilities, and He also can give us wisdom on occasion to deal with our problems.

But can you honestly say that your life right now is perfect? More than that, can you honestly say that your life measures up to what God wants it to be? No matter how hard we try, we still have habits and motives that are wrong, and we can't conquer them in our own strength. As the Apostle Paul said about his own struggles, "What I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do" (Romans 7:15).

Most of all, we can never conquer by ourselves the greatest problem any of us will ever face—which is death. Right now, you may think you have a good life—but someday it will come to an end and you will face God. Only if you know Christ and His forgiveness will you be ready for that day.

Pride is one of the most dangerous and deadly of all sins, for it makes us think we don't need Christ. But we do, both for this life and the next. My prayer is that you will honestly face your spiritual need of Christ and ask Him to come into your life. He alone can give you the joy and peace you seek. Jesus' promise is for you: "I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full" (John 10:10).

We hope you won’t make a quick decision to leave your church without first giving the Lord time to fully work, according to Romans 12:18, “If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” You might find the biblical principles of Peacemaker Ministries to be helpful. Check out “Get Help With Conflict” at www.peacemaker.net. We have prayed for you and your situation.

Well ,I am seeking answers, never have I been so discouraged in my walk with the Father and in the ministry He has given me as I have been in this last year. I am in the ministry full time in my home church and have been dilligent and commited for about 15 years. I have the most and absolute greatest respect for my pastor, but I have issues with another leader in my church, (no one knows but I and that person) I have not confronted the person only said things that let them know I do not feel they have been honest. They countered back with, more less I do not know what you are talking about and If I were to continue with the conversation I could see I would get nowhere , I am just not into confrontation so now I am deeply unsettled in my heart and discouraged since I have always had such a great respect for this person I feel they are not all they claim to be and in ways have been deceiving others including myself. But for me to reveal or confront such issues would only make things worse I am afraid , so It has caused me to be so withdrawn discouraged and fainthearted in my own ministry in this body. I am a person that believes honesty is best. Is it time I move on or just keep seeking God that he will convict and show them their dishonesty. I have been reading Psalm 119 every morning and evening and asking God to revive my heart according to His Word , I am still so disapointed and discouraged not with Him but with being one in a body where there is some definite issue
