My Answer

Some people would say I'm old fashioned, I guess, but I get very alarmed at all the changes in our society, and the way immorality and greed have almost become normal. Do you think God is going to step in and judge us for the way we're living? — Mrs. K.S.

Our society certainly has changed, and things that were once looked upon as shameful have become common. I often think of Jeremiah's words concerning his own nation: "Are they ashamed of their loathsome conduct? No, they have no shame at all; they do not even know how to blush" (Jeremiah 6:15).

But Jeremiah's words didn't stop there. He went on in the same verse to warn them that God's judgment would surely come. He added, "'So they will fall among the fallen; they will be brought down when I punish them,' says the Lord." Those were sobering words—and they literally came true only a few years later when the nation was invaded and destroyed.

Yes, God is holy, and His Word is still true: "You may be sure that your sin will find you out" (Numbers 32:23). Sin is a direct denial of God, and some day sin will be judged—either in this life or the life to come. This applies to individuals and it applies to nations, as well. God has blessed us in many ways, but we must never assume that He will ignore our sins or pretend they don't matter.

Our greatest need is to turn to God, repenting of our sins and seeking His forgiveness. Pray for our nation, that God will show us our need of Himself. And may this begin with you, as you give your life to Christ today.

We need to have the strength to speak out against sin rotting America from the inside. 40 years of elective abortion is killing generations of Americans. Please pray for the strength to speak out against this destruction of life. Thank you.

We all fall short of the glory of God. But it doesn't mean we can't do our best to change our ways. America is suffering. Pray fervently.

I believe one of the greatest mistakes is the notion that when we say something is a sin, according to scriptures, we are told we are "judging", no, we are to make "sound judgement's" in our life, our Christian life. Hate the sin , not the sinner.

Our great nation has turned it's back on God in every way imaginable making it necessary for God to take drastic steps of correction. We are doomed if we continue on this horrible path of disobedience.

America is greatly deceived. We believe the foolish notion that we can spit onGod's moral standards and live to tell the story.Wickedness never was happiness.

How can America be any different? The example of repentance should be seen in the church yet what is seen and heard resembles the world. "If My people " as stated previously means us, His body!

Is God trying to get our attention that He is in control? All the disasters that is happening in our nation is heart breaking. We need to heed to the 2 Chronicles 7:14 comment posted above.

We must not be so arrogant as to think of our nation as being beyond the discipline of God. We have been blessed as a nation, but our existence as a nation is not guaranteed if we forsake the Lord. We are not shining on our hill.

I am sad for America. I need to pray more than I do. People need Christ, that's our only hope. We need courage to share the gospel with the unsaved. But first they need to know why they need forgiveness. We've broken God's Laws.
