My Answer

I am 8 years old, and I'd like to know what the devil looks like. Does the Bible say he has horns and a pitchfork and everything? My mother said to ask you because she didn't know. Thank you. — R.T.

Thank you for your question, and I hope you will always be interested in what the Bible says—not just about the devil, but about God and His love for you.

The Bible doesn't tell us exactly what the devil looks like; the pictures you see of him (with horns and a red suit and so forth) simply come from the artist's imagination. Similar pictures have been around for hundreds of years, however, and were meant to warn people about Satan. Satan is evil, and even these pictures should warn us not to have anything to do with him.

Satan, the Bible says, is totally evil—and yet he can disguise himself so people don't even realize who he is. In fact, the Bible says that sometimes "Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light" (2 Corinthians 11:14, KJV). Satan's goal is always to stop God's work. He tried to stop Jesus from going to the cross for our sins, and he will try to keep you from God.

Satan is real—but don't concentrate on him. Concentrate instead on Jesus, because He is stronger than Satan, and by His death and resurrection He defeated Satan. The Bible says, "The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil's work" (1 John 3:8). Ask Jesus to come into your life today because God loves you and Jesus wants you to walk with Him every day.

t, Jesus is God the Son; satan was created by God...he was an angel who rebelled against God and was cast out of Heaven. Read Matthew 4...satan tempted Jesus and Jesus replies, " You shall not tempt the Lord your God." satan and Jesus are not same

Satan was created as a perfect angel and then he rebels against god . So by this logic Satans appearance would be that of divine beauty not horns a pitchfork

There is something that I would like to note: God spoke to me one night several years ago in an almost fatal car accident. By God's presence alone, even before God spoke directly to me, God's power held God's own definition and glory...there is nothing like this that can compare. I can still feel that impact of God's Voice and power today. God had shown me that He was that pure, unadulterated, genuine, loving, jealous, yet, sometimes wrathful Creator that the christian bible proclaims. Also, remember that God Himself permits us to test the spirits to determine whether they be of God's or not. And if ever a spirit be present, one can know from wince the spirit came. Remember, nothing can break the power of our redeemer Jesus the christ.

Jerome, I'm so sorry that no one has answered ur question yet. But its a fact that God works in His timing, not ours! Guess that's how I ended up here reading it. Man do I understand where you're coming from! I was just 26 when I became a born again Christian. I am now 50. Its just been in this past yr that I have come to KNOW that I know that I'm forgiven! My advice is this...Put ur complete trust in Jesus...even if it feels like He isn't listening, He is! Surround yourself with other Christians who will be there for u to support u and hold u up...Satan is slick. He lies to us, tells us that we aren't good enough, that we have sinned too many times for God to forgive us. HE IS A LIAR!!! That is his main purpose, to kill, steal and destroy! Please get into the WORD, a Bible based Church, and pray without ceasing...that is, keep Jesus in your mind at all times...You ARE forgiven!!! Now forgive yourself...the only reason you feel like this is due to the fact that Satan is working HARD to keep you from serving God...just remember this verse, "I can do ALL things through Christ Who strengthens me" Philippians 4:13 God bless you Jerome...actually He already has blessed you!!!

I'm 23. My question is, I have sinned numerous times and now I'm trying to change I still feel like God doesn't forgive me. I tried to forgive myself but I want to know if God has forgiven me 1st before I move on. This is the only thing holding me back from forgiving myself. I have prayed and do not seem to have an answer if I ever forgive myself. I admit to my wrong doing when I pray but my heart and hope of him forgiving me is still slim, please help me because I hate the way I fealabout myself. I just want 2 make sure God knows that I'm trying and hope he forgives me enough that I'll be able to walk into the gates of heaven.

If my guardian angel was ever to become visible to me how would I know is not Satan? trying to confuse me. Would God allow me to see my angel?
