Pastor in Thailand Makes Disciples Before My Hope Broadcasts

... some of them asked me if they could go ahead and open their homes to their friends, family and neighbors before the December broadcasts. They were eager to share the Gospel.

These hosts, who have been trained by BGEA, will give a brief personal testimony and invite their guests to commit their lives to Christ.

Even before the projected December 2009 in-home broadcasts, one particular province has reported seeing an early harvest of souls, Thanks to My Hope World Evangelism Through Television. Earlier this year, Pastor Somsak Rinnasak, of the Petchaboon Province, attended the 7th annual Congress on Evangelism in Bangkok.

Over 3,500 Christian leaders representing all 76 provinces of the country were in attendance at the My Hope Thailand launch.

Pastor Rinnasak, who has served the Lord for 20 years in the ministry, went back to his congregation, Chondan Church, and trained 150 of the 250 members to be broadcast hosts, or “Matthews.”

“After those church members were trained, some of them asked me if they could go ahead and open their homes to their friends, family and neighbors before the December broadcasts,” said Pasor Rinnasak. “They were eager to share the Gospel. Of course, ‘yes’ was my answer!”

Five “Matthews” opened their homes, and they followed the My Hope training as they shared their testimony and invited their guests to trust Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

As a result, a total of 31 people have committed their lives to Christ. Members of Chondan Church will continue to open their homes to new guests before the December 17-19 broadcasts.

Pastor Rinnasak hopes to see spiritual fruit in his church and community during and after the My Hope broadcasts. “I am praying to God everyday to ask Him to bless His church and bless Thailand. I hope to see hundreds come to Christ!”
