You Can Play a Part in Rock the River

Please pray for this crucial outreach

August 3, 2009 - So many lives have been eternally changed by YOUR prayers for the Rock the River Tour. Praise God for an amazing turnout in the Quad Cities and, now, lift up Minneapolis-St. Paul.

Pray also for the hundreds who made a decision for Christ in St. Louis, that their hearts will catch fire, that God will protect them from the enemy's attacks, and that they will quickly connect with a church.

Join us in praying for youth in Baton Rouge who accepted Christ or made a new commitment to Him on July 18.

Here are some opportunities for you to join us in praying for Minneapolis/ St. Paul:

• That the people of God would be humbled and broken in accordance with II Chronicles 7:14 so they may partner with the Holy Spirit in evangelism and revival.
• For the church to have a spirit of unity and be in one accord with Christ Jesus. That together we may glorify our Heavenly Father. Psalm 133:1; John 17:23; Romans 15:5

Scripture to Pray:
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him, having the eyes of your hearts enlighten, that you may know what is the hope to which he has called you, what are the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints, and what is the immeasurable greatness of his power toward us who believe, according to the working of his great might. ~ Ephesians 1:17-19




Attendees:

• Young people in Minneapolis-St. Paul as they seek the right opportunities to invite friends to the event.
• Hearts to be receptive to the Good News, to understand God’s great love for them, and God’s life changing power for their lives.
• All fear, intimidation and hindrances to be eliminated to their hearing and responding.

The Presenters of the Good News:

• Franklin Graham - for God’s preparation to preach directly to the heart needs of the young this weekend; for all in attendance to hear from God.
• The Artists – for God’s clear direction for song selections that will open hearts to the Good News; their hearts and performances to honor God and be a mutual blessing to all. Pray by name for all bands – see list at www.rocktherivertour.com

The Responses:

• Thousands to respond to the Good News message.
• Churches and parents to be attentive to the immediate discipleship of those who respond.
• Youth to be surrounded by Christian friends who will encourage them in their new walk with Christ.

Venue Needs:

• Safety as people travel, park, serve and participate.
• Spirit of kindness and camaraderie to prevail.
• Efficient technical and logistical details.
• Good weather!

Event Support:

• Effective final promotion of Event by churches, individuals, and media.
• All physical volunteer needs to be met.
• On-Site prayer participation to be good.
• Final financial support needs to be met.
