Title: Assistant Video Editor Associate

Summary:
Assists in meeting job objectives related to mission and goals of Video Media Services (VMS) and Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) by serving in video editing processes, as directed by the Video Post-Production Manager/Editor and/or Video Producer(s). Associate positions typically involve up to nineteen (19) hours of work weekly, although more hours may sometimes be required, up to a maximum of no more than 1,000 hours annually.
Description:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepares media files for editing, lays out sequences, exports sequences for Audio, adds mixes and effects to sequences, exports multiple sequence versions, posts approval versions, archives and restores media, and manages media
- Assists in uploading, downloading, or transcoding media files
- Creates documentation associated with editing process
- Completes projects under direction of Video Producer(s), occasionally with minimal supervision
- Occasionally serves as Associate Producer, as directed
- Ensures strict compliance with professional broadcast audio and video quality control standards on all projects
Marginal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performs other duties as assigned
Reporting Relationships:
- Reports directly to Video Post-Production Manager/Editor
- Has no supervisory responsibilities
Job Specifications:
Skills and Knowledge:
- Some college-level study preferred, with substantial related experience working with non-linear editing equipment such as Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere Pro
- Demonstrated knowledge of file compression and codecs
- Ability to receive management and/or producer direction regarding departmental quality standards
- Good interpersonal communications skills

Working Conditions:
- Work is typically performed in a conventional office and video production environment
- Extended daily, weekly, or weekend work hours may be required
- Occasional domestic and international travel may potentially be required
- Occasional potential exposure to wet, humid conditions, heat, cold, storms, moving mechanical parts, heights, noise, and electrical hazards may be experienced
